Motivation Mondays: Live Life Fully
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” Albert Einstein

Motivation Mondays: Live Life Fully & Do Your Best
SuperSoul Short: Everybody Dies, But Not Everybody Lives | SuperSoul Sunday | Oprah Winfrey Network
A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love. Max Muller
So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality, nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit. Christopher McCandless
Know Yourself: Are you living your life to the fullest or waiting for permission to step into it? At different points in our lives, we make decisions that either help us know who we are fully or make us relinquish our powers. To know yourself is to know what brings you sadness and joy, and to find a way to move forward. Until we accept who we are as we are, we will live in the shadows of others’ expectations for/of us. Self-knowledge takes courage because it forces us to stop being a yes-girl, people-pleaser, or sycophant.
There is a difference between being helpful and considerate and being inauthentic to our own needs. Until we make the decision to face our true selves without masks or facades, we will continue to live our lives on the periphery of who we are truly destined to be. Know yourself and believe in your gifts and talents. Don’t be discouraged by the naysayers and their noisy interruptions. They are only interested in creating distractions, so moving away from the noise will help us gain clarity to refocus on our dreams. What are you doing to gain full control of your life?
“The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.” Oprah Winfrey

We are all seeking the same thing 8. Find your purpose 9. Stay grounded 10. Relax, it’s going to be okay

Live life to the fullest, and focus on the positive. Matt Cameron
Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live! Bob Marley
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. John F. Kennedy
Love Yourself & What You Do: I woke up this morning with a pinched nerve on my left hip. I was in so much pain but knew that I needed to move my body and find a loving way to help me relieve the tension. Since I now have a regular workout routine, I decided to do a modified power walk in class and some much-needed soothing stretches. The workout, with my trainer’s help, eased some of the pain and shifted my mood as well. As I headed back home, I started thinking about how we make excuses for not pursuing our dreams/goals. We sit on our pity pot and bemoan all the things we coulda woulda shoulda done, but the truth is that life is full of challenges, failures, missed opportunities, and a modicum of pain; we need to learn to turn these events into lessons for growth and trust that things will work out. Have you ever made a mistake? Do you feel like a hostage to circumstances? Tweaking our daily routine to re-prioritize can make a big difference.
If we can learn to remind ourselves that our disappointments are doorways to blessings, we will see our lives becoming less of a mess and more of a miracle. Sometimes, we become dependent on the approval of people who don’t wish us well. We listen to their lies and put up with their hypocrisy, even as we feel in our bones that their heart is not in it. At some point, we must let go of those expectations and move on. Let them be… As a dear one always said: In a world of billions of people, why are you languishing over such things? Expand your horizons and embrace where the love flows.
One of my goals for 2017 is to get fit and love doing it. I know that there are days when I don’t feel 100% plugged in, and on those days I push myself to find the good in all around me. Sometimes, I fall behind, and other times I see a jump in my progress. All are landmarks in our efforts to reach our goals. Imagine a world where everything is linear and flat-lined… how boring! Even a glimpse of that goodness in a smile, a bloom, a good read, a nice chat, and great food can turn our misery around. But there is a secret. What is it? We must make some effort and move our feet; a little courage goes a long way!

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams. Ashley Smith
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Run Your Race & Shut Out The Noise: We hear this all the time, yet so many of us allow our dreams and focus to get diverted by nonsense, gossip, jealousy, and trying to be like X. Life is both a marathon and a stage, and we are key players in both arenas. If we waste our precious time engaging in every silly thing, we will have little time to shape up for our own dreams. Some people are chronic complainers. They whine and moan about every little thing. They are so invested in their complaining that they forget to stop and see how blessed their lives are…
Distance yourself from such noise. It is negative and infectious, and sooner or later they will complain about YOU! Run your race and stay focused. The videos above and throughout this post are worth watching. Start with the very first one I posted because it holds a powerful message worth hearing… Now go live YOUR life fully!
Have a Happy, Healthy 2017!

I think Maya Angelou’s top 10 rules for success are just fantastic. I think they most closely align with how I would like to live my life. Life needs to be lived fully and I think it is so sad that there are so many who are merely existing.
Maya Angelou’s voice is like a lullaby-It’s so soothing. I absolutely love her and the wisdom she’s left behind in this life <3.
Wow. I just prayed for courage on taking a leap of faith and this video was in my feed. I know what I need to do. Must do it !!
I’m going to have to try this! I would love to partake in your Motivation Mondays. It’s such a great blog, especially when you’re just feeling that Monday dread.
Thanks for the motivation! I need to seize the opportunity and do my dream.
All of these women had so many great tips and advice for living your life fully! One key thing that I saw with all of those is to not be scared to fail and that is so true. Failure is okay and sometimes I have to remind myself.
You say, ” If we can learn to remind ourselves that our disappointments are doorways to blessings, we will see our lives becoming less of a mess and more of a miracle,” and I believe that more than anything. I believe every time that I fail, I will get up and do better.
That’s a great post! Don’t choose your path in life based on the expectations set on you by others, whether its your parents, friends, or society in general.
I really do try to live my life as fully as possible. I don’t always succeed, but I definitely try!
It’s a good reminder. To live our life to the fullest. I’ve always been cautious and I’ve tried avoiding risks all my life but I learned that you’ll never live until you go out of your comfort zone. I’d like to say that I’m making the most of my life but of course there are still things that I have yet to do!
Heck yes! I always try to live life fully because you never know how much time you have. Tomorrow is promised to no one. I always go for my dreams.
I am confident when I say that I live my life to the fullest. I know me so very well, that I know what activities would benefit my life and which ones I can do without.
Excellent #MotivationMonday as usual! I agree it’s important to focus on yourself and always set aside time everyday for it.
The videos and the people in them are so inspirational, I seriously can’t choose a favorite. They all touched me deeply. I need to make it a point to live my life more fully.
“Know yourself”
Hear hear, this is one my favourite quotes, and I tend to use it almost daily. To remind myself that I need to always remmeber who I am and what I am about, and keep true to that… but also allow to others to keep true to themselves.
Katja xxx
It is so important to live life fully! Life is so unbelievably short!
Be authentic. I lobe this rule. No matter what happens or who tries to steal it, don’t ley it happen.
There are some good thoughts. It always amazes me how traditional schooling system goes against some of these and then in adulthood we need to work hard to re-set out minds.
So moving! I have a tendency to always think, “My life will be better when…” or “I can be me once…” I live by my to-do list and forget to actually live. That is how life passes us by. I need to start living with more meaning.
Oh no! Sorry to hear about your hip, I hope it is feeling better now. Your right to live our lives fully we truly have to love what we do!
Great videos and good quotes too. I feel very motivated right now and will live life fully as well. The pictures are so nice and calming as well.
I agree with all that has been written in this post. A year ago, I thought I was the most worthless creature on earth. I believed I was not living, that I was just surviving. Its funny how one year can make things do a 180 degree reversal. I have learned to accept failure and used that as a stepping stone to success!
We only get to walk through this life but once. We should not search for reasons why, just be! Live in the moment and savor every blessing, every moment, every memory. When Judgement Day comes, you may be asked, “How did you live the life I gave you?” Always be prepared to give a good answer to that question. Blessings of peace and love to you.
i agree, live in your present with every experience from the past & hope for the future. Hope is the best motivation in itself.
Love this post! I can imagine one having a successful life just by living on the 10 rules by both ladies!
I’m so glad you included the clips of Oprah, Maya Angelou, and Michaelle Obama. They have each inspired me (in their own ways) to live a bigger and better life. I could listen to them talk for days
I truly believe letting what other people say about you shape you is foolish – unless you know they are speaking truth in love. Unfortunately most of us are poor discerners of this.
I’m really, really, REALLY trying to live my life for me (well, us) and to the fullest it can be. Honestly, making some tough choices has really aided in that and I find that the stresses we had before are gone. There are new ones, but they somehow seem less now in comparison. Does that make sense?
I love Oprah’s 10 rules for success. Some of them mean a lot to me and I can see how they can help others.
Living life to the fullest is so important!! It teaches you so much.
I love the tip from Oprah “Run the race as hard as you can”. I think it’s important to work hard and fast at any goals you may have if you want to be successful.
I love that Oprah Winfrey quote, she is hugely motivational to me – as is this post! Thank you for sharing!
Really love the Supersoul Short video! So inspirational and so true! Maya Angelou’s Top 10 rules for success are the ones that I’m trying to follow too.
Hope you feel better soon! I need this today. It’s a good reminder to live life to the fullest. I really like the quotes by Oprah. Thanks for sharing!
Get busy living. Such a good motto. Life is so full, and so wonderful, I intend to enjoy every second I can!
Wonderful post! You always manage to inspire me. Thank you
I just love your motivation Mondays! I am working thru the list!
inspiring article! living life of your dreams is the happiest! the photos are all nice too, i love reading inspirational post like this!
This post reminded me of the moment in Shawshank Redemption where Morgan Freeman’s character, Ellis Redding asks the comment Get busy living? Or Get busy dying? And he punctuates it saying that it is exactly the right way to view life. We only have two paths. Which one will we take. I choose to live.
I’m with you. Loved that movie too.
I think this is the best motivation mondays ever!! And Michelle Obama is an amazing woman! I love her and her work! So inspiring <3
I love the SuperSoul Short! I never thought of it that way, but it is so true. We all end of dying, but so many people waste their lives never truly enjoying it or living. You have to go out there and experience the world before it is too late.
I actually just got back from a super vacation so this post speaks to me as a confirmation. I’ve definitely vowed to live life to the fullest and have been making the most out of every situation.
Cheers to motivational mondays! I love how you included links to other ones too. I’ll definitely be reading and reading haha.
All these topics you talk about were on our mind when we started bloging and created our site. “Embrace life” is our motto. Lovely post.
WOW! you have no idea how much i needed these videos today. My anxiety levels have spiked and i’ve been feeling suffocated so thank you sincerely
You and me both Brother! I hear you! <3
This is a great read. I love this
“There is a difference between being helpful and considerate and being inauthentic to our own needs. Until we make the decision to face our true self without the mask or facade, we will continue to live our life on the periphery of who we are truly destined to be.”
Makes so much sense. We exhaust ourselves until we begin to be good to ourselves.
I always enjoy your “Monday Motivation” posts. I go to my Orange Theory workout on Monday afternoons and I’m always struggling to find the motivation to get there. Like you after your workout, I always feel better once I get it done 🙂 I hope your hip feels better soon!
Thanks for sharing these inspirational videos. I enjoyed Maya Angelou’s the most. 🙂
For me living life in the present is part of living life to the fullest. The two aren’t exact synonyms, but they are closely related.
Thanks for sharing all these great quotes and motivational videos! Bookmarked it to come back to when I need a boost!
Thank you so much for this post! Some days it’s just hard to be motivated. But if you want to be successful, like you said, you have to love yourself and what you do. I struggle sometimes too, but then I just think of my future and what I want out of life and I’m back in business!
I would have to say that I’m not living life to the fullest, but I’m also not waiting for permission from anyone. I just need to kick myself into gear to move forward.
I love Michelle Obama’s list. Especially ‘take your role seriously’. Some people think because they have roles seen by society as ‘less’, they shouldn’t be serious with it. I think everyone is important and so is every role. One little role leads to another and then even bigger things. In the end, they add up and your life becomes a huge inspiration.
These are all helpful videos. Getting over anxiety can a challenge to anyone.
Love that you have chosen such powerful strong women to show us the important of cherishing our lives and making sure that we live it to the fullest, but by our own drum.
So much inspiration! I’ve bookmarked this post. I’ll definitely read this one more than once.
Such a great reminder. We truly need to live like there is no tomorrow. Someday, there will be no tomorrow. No regrets.
An eye opening post. I really don’t care much about what other people say. I live my life the way I intend it to be, not how other dictate me to do. It is only in unleashing my true self that I can say, “I lived a full life.”
This is my new favorite post from you – I have a lot of exposure to negative people in my life, more than is healthy for me truthfully. But while I’m getting better at shutting it out (and making strides toward removing and repelling negative people), this was a great reminder to me to keep pushing through. Also, I loved the top ten rules for success from Maya Angelou too – she’s one of my most favorite poets, and I find her life incredibly inspiring.
So true, live the life you love believing in yourself! That’s the point, building our personal motivationalworld!
I am learning to live even at my age!! I have enjoyed this year far better than the previous because I am venturing out doing things I have always said I wanted to try!
This is a beautiful post! While reading it. I feel like my soul being blessed. I have quite rough today so I need this motivation. Thank you.
I love Oprah! Her 10 rules for success are so inspiring!
I’ve been going through a bit of a rough time with transitioning back to living at home, so I am grateful for this post. Thank you so much!
I always try to learn from things but must of the time I let those things in past and just hope for a better tomorrow
Prince Ea is such a great poet. First time I saw him on was on Facebook, and he started to get viral, touching everyone’s heart (including mine), that life is so tough and short and we must enjoy every single second.
He is profound! Yeah, he rocked this one. 🙂
Wow. Another epic words of motivation from Elizabeth. This article sums up everything you need to achieve your goal.
Sheesh Saminu! You crack me up. 🙂
It really is a hearty reminder that we should always live our lives to the fullest. There’s just no telling what’s going to happen tomorrow! :O
That is true…
Live Life Fully, that’s my mantra. I don’t want to look back one day and say what if.
That’s the only way to live life! Everything else is just a waste!
Indeed. But we must remember to go for it! 🙂
Sometimes you really just get to know yourself when you’re being pushed to the limit. You don’t know you can do things unless you try.
This is so interesting, I’m so glad I read this article. Your writing is so inspirational
SuperSoul Short: Everybody Dies, But Not Everybody Lives is amazing. I’m so happy you shared this. I have to share it myself.
Please do. TY! 🙂
This article is so inspiring! I do believe I am living my life to the fullest… but I still have the impression to have to continuously justify who I am and what I do to others! It is incredible how oppressing the expectations of other people on your own life can be. I feel I have to struggle and battle a lot, every day, to get that space I need to develop myself. It is so exhausting and endless. It is like trying to battle the rising tide, the smallest distraction and it takes every little space you have gained. That makes me think sometimes that I should stop struggling and give in.
Don’t give in. Stay focused on your dreams by stepping away from energy drainers… <3
I was impacted and blessed by a number of post on this site! I was struggling and discouraged trying to live the life that those who doesn’t even like me, want to live rather than live my life and fulfil my purpose. I know better today and couldn’t have been more blessed!

Amen! I am so happy for you. My wish is always that this blog be of help to my readers; I am grateful that it helped you. Thank you! <3
At this point in my life I am far from living it to the fullest. I’m going through a difficult period but should be through it soon and will start to live life to the fullest again!
Sometimes we need to take a step back and look at the simpler things in life. We need to be more grateful for what we do have instead of wishing for more. The material things in life could never replace the simplicities such as love, care, and companionship.
One of my recent mottos in life is “live in the present.” I can`t take back what`s yesterday and I can`t accurately predict or control the future. Therefore, I must be thankful today and make the most of what I have.

Thank you so much for motivating us. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the very good words. A perfect timing to read your post as I’m encountering a lot of rude people on the Internet. These “people” I’m talking about, are trolls who enjoy bullying people. Those trolls are human too but what I don’t understand, what do they get in life for bullying people?
Uplifting stories! I love to read pages like these, it keeps me moving and that’s right, Seize the Day!
Such inspirational women and tips! Disappointments are definitely what inspire me to reach further and push myself forward even harder. The only limit is the limit I impose.
Love this so much! Definitely agree that we should live our lives how we want to – in a way that makes us happy. Don’t listen to all those negative thoughts from outside, just be happy!
I read through the article and I think you bring up some amazing points, but it was one quote in particular that really got to me – “Until we accept who we are as we are, we will live in the shadows of others expectations for/of us.” That’s it. That’s exactly it. Thanks for continuing to write and inspire!
Oprah’s 10 rules of success are something that I live by. I am taking baby steps to finding what makes life fulfilling for me and I have a long journey ahead 🙂 Loved reading your post.
Awesome post and videos! I live life to the fullest but it took me a while to get here. I’m glad I see things so much clearer than I ever did.
When I think of Living Life Fully I remember Arunima Sinha who started mountaineering after she a leg and conquered Everest as well! Only we can live our own lives, no one else can!
Thanks for the collection of motivation. I feel motivated and ready for the day!
This is a quote I live by till date so I fully agree. But a friend once said to me, those quotes are only meaningful when the sayer is successful. If Oprah Winfrey isn’t successful, these quotes will mean nothing. It got me stumped for a while. What do ya think?
These are fantastic videos. I am so motivated now. Thanks for giving me exactly what I needed to hear.
What a fabulous, thought-provoking and engrossing post! So many of us are so tied up in our own day-to-day routines that we miss the picture and fail to realize that we are missing opportunities to savor this thing called life. Great material to reflect on.
I just realized that I haven’t been living life to the fullest. Then I decided that I couldn’t live like that any longer. Ever since then I’ve gone backpacking through Europe, went skydiving, parasailing, flew a cessna plane, been traveling more and recently decided to conquer my fear of deep ocean by trying to get certified as a scuba diver. I tell myself constantly to be more open to new experiences.
All these experiences enabled me to be more independent, think critically and be more confident. I have applied these in other aspects of my life and have found myself more successful in my career and have the motivation to keep furthering.
Very true…We get life only once! So better to optimally and fully enjoy it. Getting various types of experiences is fun.
Yes! I agree. Bloggers posts should connect to people, in a way that it can deliver positive impact and inspiration to their lives too.
This is beautiful. The Maya Angelou rules are my favorite part.
Live life fully by knowing yourself deeply is correct! And make the most out of it by helping others in need. Spread love.
I needed to read this and thank you so much! It has uplifted my spirits.
This is one of the best Monday motivation posts I have read in a long time 🙂 LIVE LIFE FULLY!
I appreciate your kind feedback. 🙂
There’s no other compliments that could awestruck my mind, but just wow. I always get the chance of reminding myself whenever I read your blog post, since it is always motivating and inspiring. Truly, nothing compared to the fulfillment of getting the things you want to live life fully. Thank you so much for sharing this article with us.
This is truly. We are guven a chance to live in this world, to be responsible and to have fun, and not to be a depressing human. It is our nature’s duty to spread positive happiness to give birth to more positiveness.
Its so important to live life to the fullest and always self reflect on that. It’s imperative.
This is a great reminder to get outside of your comfort zone and try something new, because you only get to live once! I love the quotes in this post.
I’ve been working more towards living everyday to the fullest, being who I am and enjoying the life I live. Every night I reflect on what made me happy that day. Knowing that during the days I make choices I know will make me happy.
Great approach! 🙂
I completely agree about living life to the full. I think with how busy our lives our, how advanced our technology is.. its easy to get caught up in everything else and stop to just take a moment to realise how awesome life can truly be. I learnt ALOT about myself this year and I agree with you knowing what makes you happy, what makes you sad is a true game changer. I used to amble through life in a dull bubble. Now I maximise and cater to what I need in order to live to the fullest! Great and inspiring post as always.
Brilliant. I agree with you, too!
Nobody knows you better than yourself. You should be your best friend. Being fully happy is the most wonderful feeling ever
Thank you for inlcuding youtube for oprah, she is such a role model and I get so motivated to listen to her life. I like how she mentioned “seize your opportunity”, keep preparing and wait for the moment to come and perform. I also love other youtube you have inlcuded Maya Angelou and Obama.
we do all try and aim out lives to be fullest, happiest and overall best possible. I think it’s the only proper idea to live your life.
