Motivation and Inspiration: Daily Affirmations

Motivation and Inspiration: Daily Affirmations

Affirmations are like seed planted in soil. Poor soil, poor growth. Rich soil, abundant growth. The more you choose to think thoughts that make you feel good, the quicker the affirmations work. Louise L. Hay
Daily Affirmations Open Doors: What is an Affirmation? It is a declaration, a confidence booster, an inner prompting that something is true. It can be a form of prayer and so it is important to clarify our thoughts when we create/use them. Affirmations fill our hearts, minds, and experiences with uplifting and encouraging messages. They plant rich seeds to bring more motivation, inspiration and peace into our lives. Why are affirmations powerful? Because what we believe, we become!
Do you believe in affirmations? Do you start your day with affirmations and prayers? As Louise Hay explains in the quote above, affirmations are seeds we sow for ourselves with words we choose to use daily; they can be negative or positive seeds. If we want positive results from our affirmations, we must repeat them several times a day, some suggest 50-100 times daily; ideally in front of a mirror. We could also write them down in a journal/notebook and then, each day, choose an affirmation and write it down about 15-20 times; over and over again throughout the day. You may also post one daily on your fridge, bathroom mirror, in your car and repeat it every time you pass by. Choose a format that is free and flexible for you. Just do it!
• We deserve peace and abundance. We are worthy. Only good meets us at the door of our heart. (personalize it)
“Belief consists in accepting the affirmations of the soul; unbelief, in denying them.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

The goal of an affirmation is to bring us, and others, a positive outcome, a sense of deep peace and wellness, and joyful abundance. Affirmations are Wellness Boosters that help us stay the course by making a positive difference in our lives and the lives of others. They are like a muscle; the more we use them, the stronger the expected results. Anything we do consistently and with conviction soon bears fruit; even if that fruit takes 3-6 months or more to mature, it will come to fruition.
I add an Affirmation to my blog (Bottom of each post) every time I publish a new post. Each positive motivational tip is an overall wellness booster and helps set the tone of the day. I’ve added seven affirmations to this post, one for each day, and will add more. You are welcome to use them. (You may personalize them and replace We/Our with I/My). Do check out other positive motivation affirmations on my blog posts and also the recommended resources curated below. Enjoy them with an open heart.
• We rise above the limitations of our past. We are present and fully engaged in our blessings.
• We answer in the affirmative to all the good around us. All our needs and desires are met.
“Constant repetition carries conviction.” Robert Collier

Reflections: Affirmations Open Doors.., macro flora sunflower from mirth and motivation blog
We’ve all had our share of disappointments and hurts and, we know they can take a toll on the human psyche. Even a mean word expressed in anger has tremendous energy behind it. If we can refrain from using those words on ourselves and others, the release will bring a lightness and joy to our space. We can start our day by standing in front of a mirror and repeating some of the inspirational affirmations included in this post or any you have written or culled elsewhere. One affirmation a day will suffice.
• We are the embodiment of love and it flows into the world like a tidal wave.
• We choose events and outcomes that invite uplifting opportunities into our lives. We are more than the sum of our experiences.

I start my day with prayers. I should add affirmations for a more positive outloook. Thanks for sharing this wonderful post.
I believe in affirmations. It is one of the reasons why I am self-motivated because I affirm positive thoughts and attract good vibes. Aside from praying everyday and asking for His guidance and blessings, I feel it is really important to give yourself affirmations especially when all we see and hear each day are bad news.

This is such a neat idea!
While I believe in positivity, I believe all good things come from God 🙂 He is the reason I can dream and live.

What a great way to start the day by stating a positive intention for yourself. I think it helps clear your mind and add focus.
It definitely helps set the tone for the day. Will stuff happen to rile you up? Possibly, yes, and then you deal with it firmly and … move on. 😉

I always start my day off with positive sayings.
I believe in affirmations and positivity. I start my day with prayer, thank God for another day and for all the blessings even the smallest things. Thank you for the inspiring post. 🙂
Affirmation in life should come with action to make it successful. Life’s motivation and inspirations are the prime movers for us all to live peacefully.
That is true… words without action amount to nought.
This is great! Thanks for the positive affirmations. I too believe that thinking positive and staying positive will result in happiness.
I do believe in affirmations. I pray every day and am so thankful to have God in my life and Jesus as my Savior. You are definitely right when you say that what we think is what we become.
Affirmations are a big part of my life. Thank you for your comment.
I start and end my day with prayers. They help me stay inspired.
Beautiful… It does make a difference in the day. 😉
I like that you do this, sometimes it is hard to always be postive although I try people can be so mean, and life can be so mean, it is so nice to be reminded to stay happy!!!
Daily Affirmations are one step closer to self confidence and motivation. Thank you.
nice
I try to do affirmations and not let the negative thoughts take over. It can be hard sometimes, but you always have to try.

I try to keep my cool and keep a positive attitude. Some days I succeed. Some days I fail. On the days I fail, I can feel what the negativity does inside me.
I believe in affirmations. They truly open doors. What a beautiful and inspiring post
I agree that affirmations are so helpful. Hi hey have helped me greatly!
I really enjoy reading these posts. Every time I finish one, it’s like I see good in the world again.
I am now following your blog and look forward to your inspirational posts! I am a former organization development consultant and subscribe to the universal power of affirmations, mental models, self talk and the power of the law of attraction to achieving dreams and goals. Continuous learning is one of my great desires – I look for to new learning and inspiration!
Thank you and I enjoyed my visit to your blog too.
I should probably do this kind of thing regularly as I have a tendency to be a bit hard on myself. I may post a few things on my bathroom mirror. 🙂
This reminds me of that SNL skit LOL. I think affirmations can really help a lot of people.
I do believe in affirmations. And I do start (and end) my day with prayer. It’s natural to do so now…and a fundamental part of my life.
I so agree with you. Daily affirmations can be so important
I love how your posts inspire me! Thanks!
I always pray especially for my enemies or people that do not like me. I also motivate myself and set a good example to others especially for my kids. I do not hold grudges or any hatred. I let it go and think of positive.
I spend each morning in prayer to God, and I find my affirmation in how He sees me. I find when I affirm myself I tend to become self-focused and less compassionate towards others. If I look for my worth in the eyes of my Heavenly Father, I see a much deeper, more accurate picture of who I am :-).
Affirmations are not meant to be a form of narcissism but an acknowledgment of the grace and good we all carry within. We are all made in the image of the Creator and affirming ourselves is an act of gratitude not selfishness.
I pray every morning. Prayer is my life and Jesus helps to guide me so it’s a necessity!
Affirmation is essential to keep you motivated in whatever you are doing. Such an inspiring post!
I enjoyed seeing all the pictures of flowers. Getting me increasingly reading for the warmer, longer days.
I meant to say ‘ready’ instead of reading earlier.
I love all the quotes!
Daily affirmations – do you believe ? Absolutely – Basic premise if you believe in “The Laws Of Attraction” – you send out positive vibrations and those are returned. “Call the things that are not as if they already were”, “All things are possible just ask”. The challenge is practicing daily…but I have seen the positive results.
Eva Mitton-Urban
My son and I were recently talking about the power of words and how it can open the path to your dreams!
Starting your day with an affirmation is a great idea. It is something I can build into my students’ classroom routine as well to start the day off right.
That’s a great idea. Do it! 🙂
I love affirmations and also focusing on Gratitude. Both have helped me get through some difficult times. I choose only the positive things that happen each day to focus and and then thank God for them. I normally have my affirmations on a board, we just moved and have to get that back in our office. Thanks for a great post!
Thank you for your kind words and feedback.
This is such an inspiration to read. I try my best to focus on gratitude especially when my life feels like it’s upside down. I love how you captured that rose.
I do not believe in affirmations per se–I do believe in positive thinking and doing. Positive thoughts attract positive actions–conversely negative thoughts attract negative actions.
Affirmations are positive thinking in action… <3
I agree with you. Sometimes it’s in us.
I love affirmations, they give us the verbal push that we need to accomplish our goals.
Exactly… TY! <3
I needed this today. It’s been a rough one, and my heart is heavy. I need to reaffirm I am worth it and this will all pass.
Sending healing love your way! <3
It’s important to give yourself daily affirmations to keep yourself positive. This is an important topic to discuss.
Thank you Maria! It is so important in a chaotic world.
I do believe in affirmations, prayer, and positivity. I think that a person can control their mood, so it’s important to think positive thoughts.
I concur… Effort is important. 🙂
I try to be positive in everything I do.
It goes a long way…
Wonderful, wonderful quotes!!!!
“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
― Jim Rohn
I have been working on positive affirmations every day I say out loud what I am grateful for in the present tense.
We all need affirmation to encourage us. I believe it should be done out of sincerity and a pure heart.
words of affirmation is my love language so not only do i believe in affirmation i know how it impacts my life
Daily affirmations keep me focused and motivated. I reflect during different times too just to re-group and enjoy the moment.
such inspirational and motivational article. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
First quote was about soil and how we take care of it determines what we get out of it. So true, reminds me of our health and we are what we put into it… garbage in garbage out.. so let’s put some good in so we can grow the good!
Nice post. Affirmation sets a positive aura in one’s personality. I do yoga and Meditation to keep myself positive.
I believe in affirmations if I’m in the frame of mind to commit to positivity! Otherwise I can talk myself out of them :/
I so agree that affirmations are best repeated over and over for maximum effect. I don’t always do them but you are inspiring me to keep them up.
Great and inspirational post! I like to start my day believing in it and myself. To clam down and starting a fresh new day.
Love that there is a quote that we are worthy. We need to tell ourselves this more.
I need to start a daily affirmation practice. It’s one thing I know I need but have procrastinated with.
I love the affirmations you chose to include with this post – they’re perfect! I am one of those people who chooses a word to focus on through the year, and my word for 2016 was actually affirmation! It changed my whole life, and so much about me as a person, just because it changed my focus to better self talk. I gave a recap of how “Affirmation” changed things for me in 2016.
My every morning affirmation is to remind myself that God loves me and that no matter what obstacles stand in my way, as long as my faith is strong, I will get through the day.
I definitely think there is so much energy behind positive affirmations. You are what you put out to the world and I think when you move forward with a positive mindset and reinforce your affirmations, only good can come back to you. This was a very inspiration article!
Amanda
I start my day with little goals to reach, optimism and trusting in myself!
I declare things in my life. This is a must do for me. It sets my mind, the atmosphere in my home, my thought process. Having this done is a great thing and should become a habit to one. Declaring positivity and encouraging yourself brings forth fruit and the circumstance has to obey what you declared and believe it.
I recite my affirmations before I go to bed and when I wake up. They set me in the direction I want to go. At night they prepare me for my dream world and in the morning they prepare me for the real world. I’ve been doing this for the past 5 years now and it does help.
I was really never into affirmation , but it works wonders. It’s a deep state of confidence , its believe,it’s faith, it’s more than positivity it’s very sprititual state of being with all the madness happening.
Great quotes and affirmations are important. I think we all need to think more about what we say and how we say it..to be less hurtful to others.
i love affirming myself, especially when I have self doubt
If only we remember that it takes as much time to bring someone down with our words as the time it takes to build them up. Affirmations are very important.
Well said!
Affirmations are great. I say mine in the morning in front of the mirror. Starts my day off well.
I believe in affirmations! They help me stay positive in my everyday life!
This is something that I could definitely work on personally. I do try to stay positive and I am really good with helping others find the positive but in my own life I struggle at times.
Our own affirmations say a lot as well. Really we get a sense about things.
I really like this affirmation attitude. A day will be better if we affirm positive attitude, this might help us to achieve a better life.
I do believe in affirmations when they lead to a positive mindset and positive thoughts, and tell motivate you, help you achieve something.
Whenever I hear the word affirmation, I can’t help but think about Tony Robbins. When he was just getting started, he tells the story of driving to work in his falling apart car telling himself over and over that success was going to come his way. Not sure if you know about these already, but a couple that I follow on Instagram for inspiration are @daily_energy and @louise_hay_affirmations. x
Yes, I am… Louise Hay passed away recently and I was very saddened by it. I met her years ago in Vegas and again in NY at her You Can Do It! Workshops. She will be sorely missed.
Very beautiful flowers and well done. I can almost smell the flowers through the pictures.
I definitely believe in affirmations and the power of speaking positive, healing words over our lives and over our loved ones. I often incorporate scripture into my daily meditation and affirmations.
I do like affirmations. You can become what you believe and saying it out loud makes it real and accountable.
Affirmations are awesome, especially when coming from yourself. I need that little confidence boost for work, I do a few little affirmations while getting ready. There is always room for positivity in life!
I love affirmations. Sometimes they lift me up and other times they just keep my on track. It can be anything as simple as “I can and I will.” “it’s my time and I’m ready” or more outward like “Today I will judge nothing.”
Thank you for sharing this beautiful reminder to affirm the good that is. Loved all the quotes and positivity. xo Evelyn
These are very important things for us to be reminding ourselves daily though affirmations. I think we need to stop being so hard on ourselves and instead focus on living out best lives imaginable. 🙂
I absolutely elieve in affirmations and find that starting my day with them lends my day towards a positive and nurturing outlook .
LOVE these affirmations! Positivity makes such a difference in life
After reading this I need to plant the affirmation seed. This thought process would make it easier ton stay on the right path. Uplifting encouragement is how I should start my day.
What a powerful post. I have started a couple times trying to use positive words, although, I always forget after a few days. The idea of writing such things down hadn’t occurred to me.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. Affirmation can definitely be a powerful thing to do.
Affirmation is so powerful, not only we shall give it to our children but we also need to have the positive affirmation daily. I agree that staring at the mirror and talk positive things about ourselves will boost our confidence.
It’s brilliant that you use affirmations at the end of each post – this is inspiring. My affirmation for today is: All good things flow to me effortlessly.
These are great tips. Thank you so much for this information. That is so helpful.
If we avoid saying hurtful things it would save us a lot of time and energy. I am loving your affirmations!
Affirmations is something that we believed in and everything that we see is the affirmations that there is someones who is more powerful that than the most powerful creature here on earth.
Sometimes I get so discouraged. I need motivation and encouragement like this at times. Thanks for the great things to pep me up!
I’m beginning to use daily affirmations and it has made a huge difference 🙂
Affirmation is necessary. It brings positivity. Your posts too makes me feel more positive.
Daily affirmations always a great way to begin day on positive note. Like physical exercise invigorates our body, same way affirmations invigorate our mind.
I too am a believer of positive affirmation. I have seen it work on so many occasions for me. I have little cards that say positive messages to me.
Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes. .
If people would only learn to tell themselves that we deserve peace and abundance, life would probably be easier to bear. Unfortunately, most of us live with doubts and insecurities.
We definitely all need affirmations in our life. That is what I depend on for me to reach my goal.
I do believe in affirmations and I also believed that every good small or big things that comes in to our lives our came from God. Affirmation gives me a lot of positivity even there are some of bad things that came and coming to our lives.
Yes, I do believe in affirmations and I know their power. I keep saying I am going to use them more but it`s not happening lately so I need to be on track again.
This year I want to get in the habit of doing positive affirmations. It can change your life in a positive way.
I love affirmations. They do so much for our moral and our view on things. I think we should all strive to give a daily affirmation to others and ourselves.
I think I mix up prayers and affirmations. I’ll see how things change by praying and also affirming. Thanks for sharing.
Daily affirmation, prayers and meditation are good to do do. It soothes the spirit and soul.

Affirmations are so necessary. I love the reinforcement that they give in attracting our desires.
Affirmations get me going, they’re like a fuel to me, a motivational tool to fire me up and achieve my goals.

The world needs a lot more affirmations! With too much hate being spread we need to be spreading more encouragement and love! Thanks for sharing!
Affirmation is a very important part of my day, it helps a lot set a focus and help me to go on. No harmful and hurtful things should be a part of your daily course in your intentions.
I love starting my day with a prayer. It’s the best! I just enjoy taking a moment to reflect everything before I start the day
Affirmations help to have a positive motivated mindset. I write affirmations daily in my journal and love reading them on bad days. Love the quote, we are embodiment of love.
I love affirmations. I love using mala beads to complete affirmations instead of using the beads traditionally saying chants. One round of mala beads gives me 108 repeated affirmations! Lavern Moore
Nice article on positive affirmation
Inspired. Being an IT consultant for 20 years the politics and stresses at office tend to make me mentally down and depressed. Your article is a life saver
I love affirmations! I like to start with one first thing in the morning, it really changes the way your whole day goes.
I love doing affirmations. I start with them first thing in the morning. I have to say I used to be such a cynic and after Cancer treatment 6 years ago I decided a positive attitude was exactly what I needed to change first. Louise Hay was one of the first authors I came across.
Words are so powerful! Love using positive affirmations in the morning, since I’m not a morning person lol they usually bring my mood up!
This is so positive post. Thank you for sharing it with us x
Laura
I’m always looking for more daily affirmations to incorporate into my morning routine! There are some really good ones that you’ve mentioned here that I don’t use yet (but will start to now).
This is a great reminder. I am sober in a 12 step program, and I believe that positive energy brings more positive energy, and the reverse. It is important to make the better choice!
I don’t always start off my day this way, but I should. It’s a great way to start off on a positive vibe.
I believe I should emulate what you’ve shared here. For example, I had a bad day yesterday but one statement alone “shook things around” and I was better in a matter of minutes.
I don’t really do affirmations, but I love the idea of telling ourselves positive things and cutting out the negativity!
I use affirmations to boost my self esteem and calm down while driving. I’m also learning how to meditate.
The mind is such a powerful tool. When you keep feeding it positivity, it really blooms!
I really believe in affirmations. I usually do self-affirmation by giving myself a nice smile, meditation and yoga!
Great post, I believe we should always inspire others to be better. It makes a world a better place to live.
I believe affirmations can be helpful. However, I think I view them in a different way than they are often “advertised.”
I used to get up every morning and tell myself to rock the day. I think affirmations come in various forms for each person and they work wonders if you can find the style that works for you.
This is something I need to get better at! I am way to good at critiquing myself and not affirming.
A friend of mine put me on to the practice of meditation and affirmations years ago and it has changed my life 🙂
I think it’s a great idea to start your day with an affirmation. Starting the day with good thoughts and even a prayer are a great way to do it.
Yes I believe in daily affirmations. They help greatly reverse any negative conditioning
.
I love love love affirmations. Every night me and hubby will read an affirmation. Doesn’t matter if we are going to bed at different times but we remind each other to read an affirmation so no matter how rough we both have had that day with each other, reading out aloud the affirmation helps get us back on track.
I do start my day with prayers but I also know that things do not always go as planned. Yet I am hopeful. And when faced with disappointments, I try to learn the lesson.
Before this I thought of affirmations as coming from someone else! Why didn’t I think that I could I could pray and tell myself affirmations daily! Thank you for this.
Daily affirmations are such a loaded concept. I was skeptical for so long (because it feels a little cheesy at first), but once you find the right what and how it really does make a difference.
Affirmation really helps me a lot to feed my mind with positive thoughts. And it helps me too in rebuilding myself.
I love saying daily affirmations. It helps me stay in the right frame of mind everyday.
I think if we can begin each day in prayer and we focus on the things we should be grateful for it can make for a positive life. Prayer gets our minds focused off ourselves and affirmations help us to have a the right idea about who we are.
Daily affirmations can start with a simple prayer and/or appreciation that you are alive every single day. These are the small things that actually matter!
Everyone talks about affirmations but I honestly don’t use them in my day to day practice. Maybe I should start to keep me motivated.
Affirmations get me through anything. i think i have affirmations for every situation, it helps me stay positive.
I strongly believe in affirmations. Like prayers I think they’re quite essential for one’s well being.
Oh yes! I normally start my days with a word or quote of affirmation plus prayers too and it really helps me stay positive all day long. It also helps me live mindfully and appreciate every day that I get.
I couldn’t agree more with those post, I noticed when I started making positive affirmations about things in general. There was a shift for the better, I noticed that I was happier, my blog is growing and I know it’s because I have a declared it. You have to speak things into existent and God and the Universe will take care of the rest.
This is a great reminder to make a morning affirmations habit! Sometimes it’s easy to just hit the ground running, but pausing first to find your focus is a great idea.
I love affirmations! They are powerful and useful when it comes to reprogramming your mind! Just discovering this myself. Great post!
I believe in written and verbal affirmations. I remember when I was studying for my board exam, I would talk to myself in front of the mirror and say I passed the exam. I even wrote my name with the title. And it helps!! And yeah, I did pass my license exam.
Love this list … can’t wait to read some .
With love,

I start my day with prayer. I give thanks to God for the gift of a new day. It makes me feel so blessed to see the sunrise. My affirmation is “Today is the day things will get better.” However, if it does not turn out that way, I will say it again the next day. 🙂
Beautifully written. Yes I do believe we all go through mixed feelings. Some people like us some don’t. But we always have to keep check on our words. We need to use affirmations, and yes they would definitely change our lives for good. Thanks for sharing
Awesome motivation. Sometimes it is hard to get and stay motivated, but it is very important to always look at the things also from the brightside.
I do start my day with a prayer! I hadn’t thought about it being an affirmation but it definitely is!
Affirmation is one of my inspirations in everyday. That’s why I love reading your blog , it’s full of inspiring poems and affirmation. So grateful to you for sharing it unselfishly.
Thank you so much for sharing this reminder. I have also seen a video recommending listening to 432Hz music while reciting the “I am” affirmations while every morning. Is this something you have tried?
These are great. Ilove daily affirmations. You have to really believe it for it to work!
I take the morning to reflect about the day prior and what I can do better today. I remind myself I am only human, I am loved and my life is made for more. This is such a great post. You are always inpirational!
This post truly highlights the importance of affirmations. I used to think affirmations were boastful, but they aren’t. They are a way in which we can lift ourselves and others up. This is something we need to do everyday, especially this year.
Affirmations initially seemed so silly to me but because of how bad this year was I decided to consistently use positive affirmations and i’ve seen a such difference in my mood and attitude
Affirmations initially seemed so strange to me but I completely get the concept and appreciate them even more.
Affirmations are really powerful. I have them on my phone wall paper, my vision board and even the entrance door!!
I love to practice positive affirmations daily. It just brightens my day and gives me positivity. Never underestimate the power of affirmation.
A lot of us don’t realize the power of positive affirmations. Honestly, I noticed a lot of changes since I started to tel myself only positive words every morning. I have a more positive attitude towards things
