Easter tells us that life is to be interpreted not simply in terms of things but in terms of ideals. Charles M. Crowe

REBIRTH TIME – HAPPY SPRING! HAPPY PASSOVER! HAPPY EASTER!: What do you love about this time of the year? Spring, Passover and Easter are times of rebirth/renewal, liberation and resurrection. With Spring, we watch as the earth quietly returns to life with shoots, buds and foliage reawaken after a seemingly long, cold and, in some parts, harsh winter. We spring clean to dust off the ghost of the last season and we open our hearts and mind with a sense of expectancy for what lies ahead. For Easter, we celebrate the resurrection/rise of the Christ into the heavens and by doing so, we are reminded of the liberation and freeing of souls that, like the freeing of buds and plants at the beginning of spring, means a great growth takes place. Christians around the world start the preparations and celebrations days ahead with Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and finally Easter day which falls on April 1st this year. With Passover, we see this major 7-8 day celebration as a commemoration of the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery and their opportunity to create a nation under the leadership of Moses. So, when we take all three into consideration, the motivation for us is to seize this opportunity as a time for our own rebirth/renewal and a time to let go of qualities that limit us… why complicate things? Enjoy the music!

Do You Celebrate any/all of these Special Rebirth Events in your Household? We celebrate all three in mine and it is a every special time to gather with family and give thanks for the unity, harmony and freedoms we enjoy. It is also a time to give back to others in our community and beyond. Life is full of surprises and it is easy to have our best plans derailed by unforeseen circumstances. The last five years have been very challenging for me but they have also offered some of the best experiences and memories that reaffirm the power and importance of family, grace, and hope in my life. So, if you’ve experienced any challenging events, this year, take a moment to give thanks for the good that has flourished in the face of your hardships. We often forget to give thanks for the sliver of light that comes our way in times of darkness. If we pay attention, the sliver grows into a big bright light that will motivate us to continue on our path and not despair. If we stop to remember that there is a season for everyone and that the planting season is followed by a harvest and then a fallow… Everything that lives and breathes needs a period of hibernation, rest and rebirth. See your time in the trenches as a period of learning and that the new will reappear in time. Don’t give up and remember that you are not alone. Take the edge off by recommitting your self to overcome any stumbling blocks. Breathe new life into your goals. You can do it!

Beautiful pictures as always. To me this is a renewal of family, friends, Christ. Due to my SAD this time of year is a total awakening for me. My depression lifts for the most part, we are reminded of our spiritual beings, the beautiful flowers are out and birds singing. My favorite time of the year.
In my culture, we don’t celebrate Easter but I know bunnies and eggs are some of the things for Easter. After reading this, my knowledge gained and I learn more about Easter. I like you have asked so many questions and made me think deeply and asking myself! It make me more aware of myself, compassion and embrace life.
I do like Spring because the flowers bloom, birds chirp and all of the colors that turned during the colder months are back green. But the one problem that I have is all the pollen that’s out.
Happy Passover and Easter to you Elizabeth, it is a very special time of the year. We’re just getting ready to welcome Autumn on our side of the world and the leaves have already started changing colors so I a teeny bit jealous, just a teeny tiny bit 😉
I love this song you shared! Never heard it before. I love the message of Easter. The world may crucify us, but God will always bring us back stronger than before.
Coming from a Catholic family, we observe Holy Week traditions and celebrate Easter as well. When my son was younger, we’d even go Easter egg hunting after the Easter mass. 🙂
When I was younger, I went to catholic school so we celebrated all the holidays that happen this month, but we stopped doing so when I got older. But we still celebrate Easter. 🙂
Spring is a lovely time. Easter is not very popular in my country India. Though I know that it is celebrated with much fanfare across Europe. I loved all the pictures which you shared here.
Such a lovely post as always! I am not religious but my family all get together at Easter, I do love spring though and watching new life taking shape and coming alive! New little creatures and blooming flowers make my heart feel happy.
Glad everything is fine at your end now and in last few years we too have seen many ups and down, we as a family make sure to pray everyday to thank God for a wonderful life and beautiful family.
I’m looking forward for Easter. This year is special since we’ll be hosting a dinner party for our church friends. Celebrating the rise of Christ Jesus! Happy Easter to you and your family!
Easter has always been one of my family’s favorite holidays. A lot of family members don’t celebrate it for religious reasons but everyone enjoys the symbolism of rebirth.
Such a beautiful post, Elizabeth. It is true – the sliver grows as we lean on faith for the rebirth that will inevitably come! Happy Spring!! May all thing be made anew <3 Warm blessings to you, 💕 Xo, Evelyn, PathofPresence.com 🦋
I grew up in the Southern hemisphere and down there Easter is right in the middle of Autumn. We celebrate rebirth, in a religious way, but we don’t live it like in the northern hemisphere, where nature blooms. We don’t do any special cleaning, maybe only mind and soul, (and some people fast or do special restrictive diet during Lent) other than that, I’ve adapted many customs when I came to live to Europe!
Such a beautiful post when we are entering spring, all the colorful pictures are giving me the happy vibes. Spring does inspires a hope and happiness in me, I feel motivated to do my work. I feel like staying happy and keep my family happy.
I love everything about spring except the random periods of on and off rain. There is something magical about spring, probably because there is a lot of hope and excitement. There is hope for warmer days, beautiful gardens and scenery, and everything seems better when it’s bright and colourful outside.
Happy Spring and Happy Easter to you, Elizabeth! This is such a great post as as usual, I feel so inspired after reading your blog. The words and the vibrancy of the photos you share has a way of making my day every time. 🙂
Oh wow so much positivity in this post! I love that you celebrate the holidays. I must admit, I don’t celebrate Easter but I do go to church. For Lent I decided that giving up something would be too easy (I have that kind of personality) so instead I have been going to 08:00 mass every day… I cannot wait to sleep in on the Monday after Easter Sunday, haha! I love the idea of rebirth and I will be celebrating the resurrection of Christ in prayer (and sleeping) 🙂
Growing up my family celebrated Easter religiously but now I mostly celebrate it as the rebirth of the flowers and plants. I get so happy when there are buds and sunshine outside again!
This coming Easter, I’m focusing more on he sacred side of these special days. There won’t be any “fun” activities or bunny hopping and eggs. I really like those plates on the table up there, it’s clearly inspired by old Hebrew designs with a touch of Egyptian color.
Tomorrow is holiday here in our country. It will be Maundy Thursday and you are right. It is like this time of the year is a year of cleaning one’s soul or rebirth. Thanks for the inspiration.
Spring is a wonderful time of the year – everything is new and renewed. Love all the blooming colors and the light chill in the air. Now I just wish spring would come around soon.
For Easter my family has a small get together where my niece and nephew decorate cookies or cupcakes to leave out for the Easter Bunny then they do an Easter egg hunt.
I love celebrating Easter. We may not celebrate the religious aspect of it but we do love to come together as a family. I hope your Passover and Easter are both splendid!
I think what I love most about Spring is the weather. I know, so cliche! But I really resonate with the rebirth; the blooming of flowers, spring cleaning (clearing clutter from your life)! Love it all. Thanks for another motivating and thought provoking post.
Eliz, this is super beautiful with all the colors of the rainbow, I am back in College for a Master in HR, then finally got a job starting Monday: Foreclosure Specialist
How fantastic that your family celebrates all three. This is a very special rebirth month indeed. We love Easter and celebrate it with family and/or friends every year. Love your spring decor!
I am Christian so I celebrate Easter and all the things that come with it. It’s an important holiday and I share it with my family and church service. Plus we enjoy watching the 10 Commandments. We all can use a bit of rebirth in our lives
It’s gone from rainy to 80 degrees almost instantly here. I love bringing signs of the season into our home with fresh flowers and DIY projects. Your images capture the spirit of the season.
It’s not about what you celebrate during this time of the year but what it brings. All three celebrations is definitely about rebirth and having this renewed feeling about life!
Happy Passover! 🙂
I am planning to live differently as in live myself to the fullest and avoid stress. I had lived quite a stressful situation in the past few months, so I really hope this would bring some change from now on. Thank you for sharing. 😀
Spring has always been one of my favorite times of the year! I love the colors: greens, pinks, red, oranges, yellows, etc. I love the promises of new beginnings and new life, just like with the resurrection of Christ ❤️ Thanks for sharing this beautiful message!
I love all of the beautiful and vibrant colors in this post! I love so many things about Spring. I do not enjoy winter at all, so almost all things Spring make me happy!
Easter is one of my favorite holidays and always inspires hope in me. I appreciate that it hasn’t become so commercialized and it is still a sacred holiday.
The colors and message of this post remind me of the wonderful season of opportunity that spring brings as a season of rebirth. Thank you for a colorful reminder!
I just love having the family together. Easter with all its vibrant colors just bringing spring to mind. Like you said, rebirth and the idea of regrowth and the spring bloom. Rising again
This is very inspirational. My Easter will be spent with my family of course, but it is in 6 days for me. Happy Easter to you and yours, always have Universe by your side!
I take inspiration from the sunrise and sunset. Everyday, the sun breaking through the horizon is a chance for me to make the most out of this life, and the sunset is a time for me to reflect if I made the best of the day that was given me. Happy Easter, Elizabeth. May the Spirit of the Risen Lord touch you to inspire more people through your writing.
Our home is divided in the reason we celebrate Easter. As my children are believers and I am not. They celebrate the resurrection of Christ while I don’t celebrate it really at all for a reason beyond it being a day for candy and fun. But I wouldn’t stop my children from their faith and we have many discussion on the difference of our believes. My 12 and 9 year old have a very strong faith value and I adore that about them.
I love reading your blog post as its always filled with great photo collage. This morning I would have said that chocolate was the best thing ever this Spring, but now, after eating so much of it, I think I would have to say the sunshine and looking forward to more outdoor activities.
We should always be grateful and appreciative of the things we have in life. There are so many out there who have less than us. Motivational quotes are great for daily inspiration.
Of late I was thinking about Rebirth and Geneology. Perhaps when children pick up a lot of traits from their grandparent or great grandparent, its genes and not exactly rebirth.
All the beautiful colors in your pictures are so inspiring. My favorite is the decorated table.
Thank you. The Table is a Seder… Set especially for Passover. 🙂
I love the decorated table as well! Very creative 🙂 I’m inspired to make DIYs again. Happy Easter!
Beautiful pictures as always. To me this is a renewal of family, friends, Christ. Due to my SAD this time of year is a total awakening for me. My depression lifts for the most part, we are reminded of our spiritual beings, the beautiful flowers are out and birds singing. My favorite time of the year.
I certainly believe in rebirthing. I love your collage of pictures chosen for this topic
I love spring! We don’t do any celebrations. I just like to spend time in my yard and garden planting new flowers and vegetables.
That quote from the Dalai Lama is beautiful. Springtime whether you celebrate Easter or not is a time for rebirth!
These photos are so full of springy, happy vibes! I love the colors. Also, Jhene is one of my absolute favorite artists, she is amazing <3

This is a great post to ponder. I love that quote. It shows how we are being formed in our daily living. and I love the photo collection.
It has been a really long Winter hasn’t it?! I’m so glad Spring is finally here – a beautiful season full of reasons to be happy 🙂 x
I love this song you shared! Never heard it before. I love the message of Easter. The world may crucify us, but God will always bring us back stronger than before.
I love the rebirth in nature that spring brings!
Oh wow, I love those photo. Great selection! This is truly an inspiration.

There are so many Easter symbols that have to do with rebirth. It’s so interesting to learn about them.

Happy Spring to YOU!!!!! I am not the biggest SPRING fan – because I don’t like when the weather gets too hot, but I can appreciate rebirth!
I love the pictures! The concept of rebirth every year is amazing. Spring such a beautiful time that it refreshes our ways of thinking!!
I love Spring because it’s warm (usually; it’s been cold in Charlotte) and everything is vibrant, refreshed, and renewed.
I grew up in a very religious family so Good Friday and Resurrection (Easter) were always a big event in our home.
It’s great to rebirth.. Happy easter… Nice beautiful colours! really amazing photography!
Yes, the table is beautiful, happy Easter dear Eliz!
We don’t really celebrate Easter as such, but we always go camping on Easter weekend. I love getting outdoors when the weather starts to warm up!

Indeed spring brings the season of hope and a new beginning after the harsh cold winter. Definitely it is the time to celebrate life.
Life has hard lately for me. Always love your inspirational quotes. More power!
You have a very interesting perspective. This definitely made me think. Spring is my favorite season.
That’s very true. Whatever we believe on, no one has ever appreciated kindness and compassion. Two great virtues.
Of late I was thinking about Rebirth and Geneology. Perhaps when children pick up a lot of traits from their grandparent or great grandparent, its genes and not exactly rebirth.
