Music: Call Me Soulful Saturday Anyway…

A lot of music I hear or listen to of late seem to include invocations to connect with, call, find, reach out to me… Well, it seems musicians want to call me, you, us, them (or vise versa) on a cellphone, some payphone or even telepathically somehow, someway. Whatever the need to communicate, music is a great equalizer and brings us all together to entertain and be entertained. What would we do without Youtube and iTunes?

Pitbull – Back In Time (featured in “Men In Black III“) BONUS*
I agree with Thelonious that music is best listened to than explained. I invite you to take a moment to set aside your reservations about any of these songs and go with the flow… You might surprise yourself and enjoy it. If not, call me a Soulful Saturday, far ranging, music lover anyway. More below!
When you begin to see the possibilities of music, you desire to do something really good for people, to help humanity free itself from its hangups….I want to speak to their souls.” John Coltrane

Wonderful post, Eliz! I love your music posts…the clips entertain me for the entire week. 🙂 Music needs to be a part of every person’s life…young and old. Have a beautiful week, dear lady!
TY Vivian! I’m glad you dropped in and liked this selection… It’s hard to tell because others don’t seem to like them… But perhaps that is why music is a universal joy… we all have our preferences and can find music that speaks to those choices. TY again! 🙂
So very pleased you included Donna Summer’s work in this soulful Saturday lineup. Yes, music can only be explained by the soul. Monk was “spot on”.
TY Granbee! I loved her music… actually still do. Love Monk’s comment as it speaks to how I feel about music… 😉
Nice song selections today.
Lovely t see an Australian in your list!
