Treat others as you wish to be treated. Don’t just be nice, but be kind to other people. That can be so rewarding. Mary Lambert
My biggest aspiration is to inspire people to do good. I believe that our wish for a harmonious world begins and ends with doing good. To inspire and empower…Shari Arison
I wish that every human life might be pure transparent freedom. Simone de Beauvoir

Today is International Women’s Day, and we have come a long way, with more goals to accomplish. While this day has been celebrated since the early 1900s, its history has been fraught with setbacks and denials. But we are tough, nd the journey continues. The quotes above and below express my many wishes for our gender and for the human race.

“If I could be granted a wish, I’d shine in your eye like a jewel.” Bette Midler

All of us wish we’d had perfect childhoods, with a mother and father who modeled ideal parental attitudes and taught us to internalize the tenets of self-love. Many of us, however, did not. Marianne Williamson
Of course I believe imaginative architecture can make a difference to people’s lives, but I wish it was possible to divert some of the effort we put into ambitious museums and galleries into the basic architectural building blocks of society. Zaha Hadid

I certainly used to wish that I was skinny, lighter-skinned, with long, pretty hair. But only because I used to get made fun of for being the absolute opposite. I didn’t see all of that stuff as the American Dream. I just wanted to look normal. Now that I’m older, I really do feel like I am a beautiful girl. Gabourey Sidibe
Ships at a distance have every man’s wish on board. Zora Neale Hurston

I wish that we, women and men, can find peace in our hearts to collaborate for our collective good. The shaming and blaming must stop. When we lift each other, we all benefit, so harmony is imperative. I love the message of Oprah’s holiday wish below. It applies to all seasons. Have a wonderful International Women’s Day!
“They’re my holiday wishes, and I picture this sight: You and your family on a cold winter night.
Together and safe with love in your home, surrounded by peace, no one is alone.
I wish faith were the rule and kind thoughts were shared. Just imagine this world if everyone cared.
I picture your children, tucked in their beds, with sweet expectations of the new year ahead.
I wish for hope in your heart in whatever you do. That’s the holiday dream I’m dreaming for you.” Oprah

This post was inspired by a prompt from the WP Weekly Photo Challenge Post: – WishFor this week’s challenge, show us a wish, and let your blog be the medium through which you share it. As always, I can’t wait to see everyone’s contributions.

Have a relaxing day!

Positive Motivation Tip: May all the good you wish for yourself be spread like stars around the world.

I hadn’t seen that Oprah quote before – I loved it. She’s a wise woman … I remember watching so much of her show as a child and soaking in the things she said. Now, I look up to her as a woman in general – strong and charismatic, well-loved and business-savvy. She’s amazing, as was the sentiment of this post.

When everyone around us is happy, love can be felt in the air. If we live with hatred, everything in our place will be covered with complaint and disagreements.
