Haiku: Happy Thanksgiving In Ten Takes…

26/11/2014

Sending Happy Thanksgiving wishes to everyone! During this joyful season, please think of our troops, the sick, the destitute, our friends and family who are traveling or are away, and others who are alone during this time of celebration. Send them a heartfelt message of love and goodwill.
Thank You to my readers, to all of you who stop by to comment or just read this blog, to friends and family online and off, to my fellow bloggers, BlogHer and SITSGirls SITstahs, WordPress staffers and happiness engineers, my social media and Facebook groups friends, friends in various communities, and everyone out there. Cheers! 🙂

Haiku: On Thanksgiving, we share an abundance of good food Haiku: Thanksgiving –  A Bountiful Harvest means sharing good food

Haiku: Happy Tahnskgivng in ten takes - Menorah Livhts; This year Hanukkah starts on the same day Haiku: Thanksgiving – Menorah Lights; This year Hanukkah starts on the same day

Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s formed with 5 syllables
I’m grateful for that

On this special day
We give thanks for our blessings
Gratitude abounds

A rare gift this year
Hanukkah and Thanksgiving
Let’s celebrate both

A quote floated by…
“Thankful people are happy!”
On Facebook today

Say thanks and prayers
Life is short. We never know…
For whom the bell tolls

Thanksgiving is truly the beginning of the Holiday Season in the US, and families gather to give thanks, celebrate with loved ones and share their good fortune. Thanksgiving 2013 stands as a very unique one because it falls on the same day as the start of Hanukkah. What a delightful day to be thankful for the diversity…

This is the time of the year again when we say thanks and prayers. We don’t usually celebrate the same in the Philippines but since it’s also nearly Christmas, we’re enjoying the same spirit as well.

Happy Thanksgiving day! I’ve always admired how this day is well celebrated in the US. Sometimes I wonder if it is because the living in the US is way better. Here in the Philippines, I don’t think there would be a Thanksgiving Day or even if it will exist, it won’t be widely celebrated or appreciated because there are a lot of people suffering from poverty.

But if our people would celebrate this kind of day as a way of sharing the fortunes to the less fortunate, then it would be a great day ever.

Lovely poem and how cool that Hanukkah and US Thanksgiving were on the same day last year. I know it is in December this year though, which just means another opportunity to be thankful.

Happy thanksgiving! 😀 I was reminded of what my friend told me, “be a good receiver, by expressing your thanks!”

I now often say thank you for almost everything in my life. I get to see the beauty of living when I get to thank and recognize each blessing. 😀
