INEVITABLE: Winter’s Adieu
“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.” Pablo Neruda

Change In Nature Is Inevitable: It snowed again last night but quickly dissipated this morning. As I went about my daily routine, I noticed the daffodils peeking through the leftover snow, eager to show their pretty little yellow heads. I noticed a purple crocus by the front door and when I went to my local store, they had early Daffodils for sale. As winter slowly bids us adieu, the stirrings of spring wait in the wings respectfully.
Of late, we’ve had mixed messages in nature; some days are warmer than others but, what we know for sure is the inevitability of the change that comes with every season. As I sit and stare out the French windows, the warm, late afternoon sun smiles brightly as she gathers herself on her way due west, where she will set for the night. Some things stay the same but nature, in her infinite wisdom, knows that change keeps the planet from becoming a stagnant cesspool of toxic waste… By the same token, our bodies go through inevitable change. How is it expressed in your life?
Success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. Coco Chanel
Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In order to succeed, people need a sense of self-efficacy, to struggle together with resilience to meet the inevitable obstacles and inequities of life. Albert Bandura
What inevitable events are happening around you? For those of us who live in the USA, political change is in the air and come November, we will have a new President. In my area now, the winter season is slowly shifting as spring prepares to show her face and shower us with rain and spring flowers. What is happening in your neck of the woods? What is inevitably coming your way for good? My hope for all of us is that we will take as much time to prepare ourselves for the changing season and for more good coming into our lives. Have a relaxing weekend and come back soon for the Weekly Photo Challenge!
