The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. Maya Angelou
Early this morning, a Facebook friend sent out a beautiful set of family photos from Nick Vujicic’s page. If you know anything about Nick’s personal story, you know that his story is a testament to the power of the human spirit to inspire others. Nick, and other folks like him, are my daily inspiration and If I had taken those photos, that would have fit the bill. Alas, I can’t. We have to use our own so I chose other photos that capture other aspects of life that inspire me. They pale in comparison but they inspire me daily too.

Weekly Photo Challenge: INSPIRATION – Flora
Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. Robert Frost
We know what we are, but know not what we may be. William Shakespeare
My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. Check out how others interpreted the theme – Inspiration – below.
This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: INSPIRATION – This week, What is your inspiration? What moves you? What is it that never fails to motivate you, to get you going, or make you happy? It could be the bench in a quiet section of the park where you go to center yourself. Maybe it’s a favorite piece of music or book passage that boosts your enthusiasm. Or, maybe it’s the face of the love of your life, a treasured memento, or the unconditional love you see in the eyes of your pet. Show me your inspiration! I can’t wait to see how you interpret this theme.
Positive Motivation Tip: Inspiration is everywhere; from the people who move us to the flora and fauna that wow us … it reminds us to see it in each other.

Gorgeous inspiration photos! Wow! My favorite – the daffodils, of course. And Robert Frost. Love it.
You love daffodils too? I planted several varieties in the yard and enjoy seeing them bloom in spring.
I love the photos of the sunrise. Truly inspiring, for sure.
What a great pic of that deer! I’m so envious. I’ve taken pics of deer, but just not that crisp and clear. 🙂
Thank you Tom. It was in my yard staring at me as I entered the house. Even when I took the picture, it didn’t flinch. 🙂
Inspiration can come from unexpected sources. It can be a look you’ve seen pass between a child and her Mom–or even two strangers smiling expectantly at each other. Animals and nature have always been able to inspire me one way or another.
My kids inspire me. Every single day – they amaze me constantly 😄
Excellent! 🙂
Lovely post and absolutely amazing pictures. Will come back for the stories 🙂
TY for the reminder… Must get those stories up. Hahaha!
Being in the country and away from people inspires me! I love to go out for walks where I grew up by myself. I always found that incredibly peaceful 🙂
Same here !
I love watching the sun rise and set – it always leaves me feeling so refreshed and like I can take on the world! Definitely some great inspiration!
An inspiring gallery.
So good to see you here. 🙂
I always like when the photo challenges include nature pictures. My favorites are the second set of the sunrise/set.
These images are certainly inspiring. It’s so important to stop and smell the proverbial roses sometimes.
Thank you. I do as it inspires me… 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration once again Elizabeth? What’s your day job? I imagine a motivational speaker, a therapist, a life coach? Surely you have a lot to teach. Love what you write!
Thank you Heather! You are so kind… <3
All of these images can spark inspiration… my favorite has to be the sunset in Paris… I’m in Greece at the moment and feeling very inspired! Must put that to good use.
Good. Go for it! 🙂
beautiful picture.. i am obsessed with photography, still learning and trying to figure it out
Same here… so much to learn!
sunrise / nature, for sure you’ve done well to put this into our focus, Eliz! My inspiration this night, when I could not sleep, was music again: https://flickrcomments.wordpress.com/2015/08/01/blind-willie-johnson/
Music is your first love so I can imagine it inspires everything else you do… Beautiful! 🙂
Lovely quote, give light and the darkness will disappear. This is so true and such lovely pictures
Loved that one too.
Happy weekend to you as well! Beautiful photos as always!
🙂
I haven’t managed to do this yet, but yo may have inspired me! Also i’m struggling with windows 10 and some comments or likes I do aren’t showing, but I am here and enjoying my visitis!
Thank you Gilly! I signed up to accept Windows 10 but have developed cold feet … Windows 8 isn’t as intuitive as 7 and I’m still figuring that one out.
most of us seemed to appreciate the tangible things.. and we forget that the most beautiful things are those we can only reach with our hearts…
Those are beautiful rooftop views
I always draw inspiration from the people that I love and the goals that I would like to achieve. These have always been my driving force to continue to soldier on despite challenges and trying times.
Love that photo of the sunset behind the houses. Hopefully, I would be able to learn how to take such great photos in the future 🙂
Beautiful photos. I especially like the ones with the buildings and cloud cover.
Beautiful pictures! I just bought a new camera and these challenges are perfect to motivate me to step up my game
Beautiful shots!
Thank you so much! 🙂
I follow Nick Vujicic on Facebook too, and I agree with you – he’s such an inspiration to millions of people. I love your photo captures, still… they do reflect the inspiration. Nature always provide the best encouragement. Sometimes when I feel down, I like to walk in the nearby park connector and let the nature surrounding the river banks perk me up.
Perfect! I feel the same way too.
I always love all the quotes and your motivational and inspirational post. Pictures are always so lovely. I love this quote particularly from Shakespeare. Very true.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Love all the pics. Those roses are beautiful.
Wow love all these pictures! Thanks!
Those roses are absolutely beautiful! I also love the photos of the cute kittens! The quotes written here are very true. Have a wonderful weekend!
It’s definitely important to follow your bliss. You’ll end up happier.
I so love these picture which are totally gorgeous. The roses are so beautiful. What gets me going is seeing videos or pictures of my little nephew just learning to walk or him smiling. Thanks so much for sharing.
What beautiful pictures. I am inspired to take some pictures too to put them in my work space.
I love photo challenges, so inspiring! These pictures are absolutely beautiful.
Lovely post!! I really do believe inspiration is everywhere! I try my hardest to surround myself with inspirational people. I feel if you are constantly around inspiration you will reach the impossible;-)
Well said… I believe so too.
I love these beautiful photos! One of my favorite things are photos of flowers – they’re always so pretty!
Flowers, sunrise and sunsets — those are the kind of photos that turns me on. I always start my day watching the sun rises. It gives me a feeling of contentment .
Love the roses. The contrast under the sun, somehow brightens up my day 🙂
Oh Nick V is inspiring alright. He really shows you there are no limits with the human spirit! 🙂
Photos of nature are the best. They capture what true beauty. And yes, these photos inspire.
I’m wondering if I do know Nick. Headed over to check it out. I love your pictures, as always.
Everything we have to do becomes a million times better when we’re inspired. It gives us that extra push that we need! 😀
Another great photo challenge post on Inspiration from you. I love that beautiful pictures from Paris, Flora and the Sunset view of rooftops on Montparnass, they are just amazing. Thanks for inspiring.
I love all the quotes, especially the one by Helen Keller.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”
This is so true!
Thank you! It’s beautiful…
This is such an inspiring images. everyone needs an inspiration.
i get inspired by a lot of things these days from just reading the news or something i randomly see during the day. inspiration can be in many forms
My absolute favorite inspirational photos always involves a sunrise. I am also inspired by parent and child photographs. These are the picture topics that touch me positively. – Fred
Beautiful photos this week.
Beautiful photos. So inspiring. We live in such a beautiful world. I really appreacite people who have the talent to capture, and share it.
My kids and husband are always my inspiration in writing. Nature and anumals are my second,
You always share some really nice images. Do you take all the macro shots yourself?
Yes Schulist, 100% on my Macro shots. I have a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Fixed Lens for my DSLR and it takes very good photos. An important requirement for participation the Weekly Photo Challenge is that we take the photos ourselves. On the occasions we choose to add others, we give credit.
I did notice the “credits” on the blog, but sometimes wondered on instagram. I love that you take them all yourself. I try to take pictures with my DSLR but I am not that great.
The Instagram shots for my regular posts are a mix of my photos and public domain photos I get on Wikipedia. I love taking photos and use my cameras every day; from my phone to my SLR, I shoot a lot of photos but I can’t capture everything so, the public domain photos help me a lot. They are free and available to everyone. Keep shooting photos and don;t give up. I still take my share of lousy shots and sometimes, nothing works.. The wild kitty shots were awful and even though I took tons of photos, 99% were awful… We all have our moments. 🙂
What beautiful images you have used, really lovely. And the Maya Angelou quote ❤️
We can be inspired in so many ways, like person or things that would motivate us and also make our day.
Today, I have many things and people that inspire me and reading this post is also one that drives me to be optimistic.
I feel anything and everything which you love to do gives an inspiration! Meeting different People from different nationality and learning from them is quite inspiring.
The wild kittens are adorable. I hope they grow up and keep the critters at bay. They have a spay/neuter program for feral cats in most counties. You just have to trap them.
I think the most inspiring quote – to me – in this post, is by Francis of Assisi. “Start by doing what’s necessary”. I think a lot of people don’t necessarily make it past that step, and that is somewhat, sad.
I’m glad that spoke to you
Another good read this humid morning. as always your message is that so inspiring.
Thank you Papaleng. You are such a great supporter.
I love you flower and roses micro shots. I will try it during my friend’s wedding this weekend. Thanks
Indeed, we should be an inspiration to others. I can relate this niche in the golden rule, “Do unto others what you want others will do unto you”.
That is exactly what it is about… Doing good and reciprocity.
Gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful. I love your weekly inspiration shots!
Inspiration is what makes a heavy burden worth carrying. It allows you to be a better version of yourself.
Well said… I believe that to be true.
The purple flowers are my favorite among the stunning shots.
Thank you. It is vibrant. 😉
I have never heard of Nick’s page but the images are very inspirational.
The clouds are so beautiful too.
I love them too… 😉 TY!
Going to my garden every morning gives me an inspiration.
Inspirations, it’s what we feels us alive and do things that what’s makes it excites.
As for inspiration, I always find cats inspiring. I miss my cats.
They are so smart… 😉
It would be hard for me to narrow down what inspires me. My inspiration often comes out of my moods or life circumstances.
Thank you for sharing such beauty and inspiration with this post.
