Haiku: An Anywhere Door

09/12/2015

“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.” Joseph Campbell

Haiku: An Anywhere Door - Beckons

Haiku: An Anywhere Door – Beckons

Haiku: An Anywhere Door - Beckons

Haiku: An Anywhere Door – Beckons

You have to come to your closed doors before you get to your open doors… What if you knew you had to go through 32 closed doors before you got to your open door? Well, then you’d come to closed door number eight and you’d think, ‘Great, I got another one out of the way’… Keep moving forward. Joel Osteen

An Anywhere Door
Beckons … takes us where we wish
Soul expeditions

Journey to the soul
Pathway Opens … doors to road
Tonight, the heart rests.

In times of darkness
our souls search for calmer climes
Anywhere we can…

We live in tumultuous times, and some of us would love to escape, even if only for a while, to calmer climes. I bet we can all imagine walking through an Open door into new worlds and vistas to explore… Find yours!

“Don’t spend time beating on a wall, hoping to transform it into a door.” Coco Chanel

Haiku: An Anywhere Door - Beckons

Haiku: An Anywhere Door – Beckons

I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are no accidents; we’re all teachers – if we’re willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some miracle to come knocking at our door. Marla Gibbs

Anywhere we go
Time Machines tick-tock away
Pass on that … today

A helmet of pain
Invisibility hurts
We’ll pass that door … too

Take the Open Door
Dive in oceans your heart calls
Swim from pissed to … Peace

You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space. Johnny Cash
Where there is a will, there is a way. If there is a chance in a million that you can do something, anything, to keep what you want from ending, do it. Pry the door open or, if need be, wedge your foot in that door and keep it open. Pauline Kael

Dokodemo Door
A flight of fancy beckons
To wellness or woe?

Rediscover bliss

Where to go? YOU know…

My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. Check out how others interpreted the theme, Pick Your Gadget, below.

A WP Daily Post prompt inspired this post: Pick Your Gadget. Your local electronics store has just started selling time machines, anywhere doors, and invisibility helmets. You can only afford one. Which of these do you buy, and why?

“Don’t spend time beating on a wall, hoping to transform it into a door.” Coco Chanel knows what she’s talking about. It’s very easy to get stuck in the idea of turning something into an opportunity when all along it’s been nothing but a barricade instead. Wise words!

Your Campbell quote and the Coco Chanel quote both talk about finding doors where there are only walls. Sometimes we find ourselves trapped in a hopeless situation. Prayer more often than not leads to enlightenment. We should keep a clear head, and the solution will come.
