Weekly Photo Challenge: MOTION!
As in nature, all is ebb and tide, all is wave motion, so it seems that in all branches of industry, alternating currents – electric wave motion – will have the sway. Nikola Tesla
“Moreover, since the sun remains stationary, whatever appears as a motion of the sun is really due rather to the motion of the earth.” Nicolaus Copernicus

Look at what you want to change, gather a few people who believe in it like you do, and start moving forward. It’s important to remember that you don’t always need a destination. Sometimes, you just have to make forward motion. And you absolutely can. Debby Ryan

Weekly Photo Challenge: MOTION!
Yet it is in this loneliness that the deepest activities begin. It is here that you discover act without motion, labor that is profound repose, vision in obscurity, and, beyond all desire, a fulfillment whose limits extend to infinity. Thomas Merton
My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. Check out how others interpreted the theme below.
This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: MOTION For This week, share your photographs that have captured motion, and tell us the stories behind the images. Capturing motion is a beautiful way to convey a story in a photograph, sometimes even more so than a photo of the same subject in a stationary pose. Some situations lend themselves to “action” photography; sports, dance, the wind gusting through trees on a stormy evening, but anything that can move is a candidate for these types of shots.
Positive Motivation Tip: Life is all about motion. Keep stepping forward and spread the joy!

Yup, it’s all about keeping things moving for us. We don’t know how to slow down here in Boston, though.
motion is very important in life!!! Whether things are great or sad in life if you just keep on going everything will work out in the end!
What fun photos. I feel like I could title many of my kids’ photos as “motion” because they are always on the move.
Amanda
Keep moving, keep striving! Love it!
What a great photo challenge! I live in NYC where everyone is always in motion! 🙂
I love the photos that you shared. It is cool how a camera can capture motion usually it looks like a blur. My kids are excellent at being in motion when I want them to be still. 🙂
What an interesting challenge. I always have trouble capturing motion in photos.
Sir Issac Newton obviously never observed a cat in motion!! Straight line–never happen!! I do love all these photos and they do convey what you wanted them to convey.
WOW! these are some great photo’s, I think if we all interpret one another, we can only get our own point a view . It is nice when we can see beyond what is there..
I love these photo’s and yes I do think they capture emotions, whether we like them or not, but great drawing also..
Great photos, as always. Thanks for sharing!
I like that you were able to describe motion so well. The photos were great.
I absolutely agree that sometimes you don’t need a destination…it’s just about forward momentum! I equate forward movement with growth…physical, emotional, spiritual.
I like taking pictures in motion but most of the times, it is not great lol. These ones on your post turned out well.
Some really great photos. Love this challenge
These pictures are awesome. Thank you for sharing this article
As human beings, we are always in motion. We must us our motion for good and to move forward!
This is a super cool photo challenge! How neat!
Taking steps forward is the best way to go. Can’t get anywhere at all if you’re not at least moving.
Hahaha! That’s for sure! Thanks for the humor and wisdom. 😆
I love the pictures! neat challenge
This is truly inspiring and a great way to look at photos as well as life in general. Amazing photos indeed. Thanks so much for sharing.

Great photos for this week’s word!
This is such an interesting photo challenge! These pictures are really awesome. My husband loves to take photos in motion, but I think it does not look perfect all the time. Love the share.
Thank you Lisa! I usually delete them but stopped doing that in the last year!
I take my camera everywhere and learn by taking multiples of the same shot
I would say you have a great collection of photos to describe motion. We as people seem to always be in motion.
Indeed we are… 🙂
Capturing motion has always been tricky for me. These are great pics!
What is the opposite of motion? stagnation, that’s impossible isn’t it? Love the quotes and I’m intrigued, where was the photo of the big hall with three curved windows taken?
The big hall is Grand Central Station, NY. It is always filled with people milling around and felt it would be ideal. Perhaps I should have added one with an image of a person flashing by… 😉
These turned out really beautiful.
Love the photos…life is just goes by so fast doesn’t it. Thanks for sharing.
Cool photos. I like the quotes as well. Thanks for sharing!
I always like to keep moving forward and not dwell on things. I think it keeps you successful.
