Did you know that Mother’s day is celebrated at different times of the year around the world? Here in the US, we rejoice and celebrate our Moms in May. In the UK, Ireland and Nigeria, they celebrate it today. In many other parts of the world, we find that Mother’s Day dates run the gamut from January/March in Israel, to February in Norway through December in Panama and Indonesia; every month has a country that celebrates our Moms. .

She’s pediatrician
She’s cook, musician and housemaid

We know that everyday should be a day to honor our Moms and all are days to stop and reflect on the blessings of birth. As kids, many of us didn’t really stop to think about the challenges of parenting. We loved Mom when she was good to us and didn’t when she disciplined us. But in many instances, we went about our days caught up in other thoughts and dreams., Some Moms were abusive of their kids and some cherished every step their children took, all came to the job with minimal training and either copied their own experiences or created new ones. One thing we know, is that most moms had good intentions for their kids and even when they failed, they were trying to do right. Some moms had mental health challenges and their actions were cruel but please know that somewhere deep inside their brains, something wanted to do good. Be the better example and forgive the hard times. Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day
Whether you work at home or outside the home, a mother’ job is never done. Even when the kids grow up and fly the coop, they are still “kids” to their moms. So this Women’s History Month, don’t forget to celebrate the women who raised you, nurtured you, loved you and cared about your well-being. It’s been a long road but we will all get there. Be loved and inspired!

You nailed it…..Moms have to be a jack of all trades, and they take it all in their stride!
Indeed we are jack of all trades and some! Love your description. <3
What a great post about mothers. It’s a great way to celebrate all moms.
What a lovely post.
Happy Mother’s Day to you in the UK! 🙂
I agree with Gloria Stefan, motherhood is so difficult and yet very rewarding. Love the plant and the smile!
So important to honor the women in our lives and especially mothers! I always forget that Mother’s Day is celebrated in March in other parts of the world!
I always make a home made card for my Mom on Mothers day. I like to give her flowers as well.
That kangaroo photo is just too sweet. I didn’t know it was women’s history month. Thanks for the info!
I think being a mother is the hardest job in the world it never ends. This is a beautiful tribute to mothers!
Mothers definitely do it all! I admire my mom so much as she stayed at home with us and took care of our every need. She is always there for my sister and I even though we have grown and have children of our own. She is my best friend!
I hope you had a lovely day yesterday even if it wasn’t Mother’s Day in the US!
Happy Mother’s Day to you! My siblings sent me greeting and that’s how I remembered it was happening in other parts of the globe. 🙂
More than celebrating Mother’s Day, I think we should have it in our hearts to express love & show gratitude to our moms every day ( even if they drive us crazy on most times, lol ) .. they’re prolly one of the most selfless human beings. I cannot imagine my life without my Mom. She is my first teacher, my best friend, the best cook, a shoulder to cry on – she’s such a strong person and I really look up to her.
True… The special days are merely symbolic. The rest should come from the hear daily.
So very true, a mother’s job is never done. Sometimes I wonder how the heck we do it all?
This is absolutely beautiful. I love my mom. We’ve had a long hard road but still love her very much.
What a great post! It’s so true that a mom’s work is never done…but that’s what we sign up for, isn’t it?! 😉
I am so lucky to have my mom. I appreciate her all year.
I usually send a card for my mom. She keeps them in her box and sometimes takes few of them to read
I did not know Mother’s Day was celebrated on different days around the year. I guess it just never came to mind, but of course that does make sense. Hurrah for good moms everywhere, and Happy Mother’s Day to those who are celebrating now. 🙂
And happy hugs and thank yous to you! 😉
I do not want to ever be a mom lol. I appreciate everything my mother has done for me, but not sure I want to sacrifice my entire self for someone else. I’d rather be gardening…LOVE caladiums and I have 7 colors growing right now!!
Ohh wonderful! You should share a picture of all seven… 🙂
This is pretty amazing. Being a mom is pretty rewarding and it takes a real strong woman to take care of other people’s life and put them before herself.
That is true! 🙂
I guess I never realized that mother’s day was celebrated on different days around the world. That’s pretty cool, I learned something new today. After losing our papa, our mom is all we have and I hope to have her for a good long time to come.
I think moms have the hardest job in the world. I’m always glad to see a post giving them their full props!
Even though I may not always agree with my mom, I still love her to pieces.
I never knew that Mother’s Day wasn’t the same day everywhere. I thought it was universally celebrated on the same day.
I used to think so too… but I had simply forgotten. 🙂
So we should just celebrate moms everyday! This reminds me to give mine a call and chat about St. Patrick’s Day!
Exactly! The real point is that it is Mother’s Day every day somewhere in the world and so we might as well keep celebrating her.
This is so true and sweet! It’s amazing how long it takes us to realize it.
Motherhood really is everything all rolled into one. Being a mom has been one of the most rewarding, challenging, and fulfilling things that I have ever done.
Awesome blog! I love this post, so sweet. Mom’s are often under-appreciated.What a great post!
Motherhood is difficult but also rewarding and a wonderful experience. I can’t imagine life without my mom and life without me being a mom. Moms need to be celebrated for everything they do!
i love bing a mom, i love that it means i can watch my kids grown and help them learn. It is one of my favorite things, being a mom
I was wondering why I was seeing Mother’s Day posts here and there on social media, I had no idea it wasn’t on the same day everywhere. Being a mom is no easy job but I can’t wait till the day I can be one too.
It cool that mothers are celebrate in nearly every culture at different times throughout the year. Moms do to so much and are an important part in the lives of their children. I like this quote, ““A mother’s happiness is like a beacon, lighting up the future but reflected also on the past in the guise of fond memories.” Honore de Balzac” it is true 🙂
Awwwww being a mommy myself, I just love this post!!! Being a mommy sure can test you sometimes but there is nothing more rewarding than it 🙂
Excellent post for Mother’s Day. Mother’s always seem to be unappreciated. They deserve more than just one day. Thank you for sharing.
Motherhood… Wow it has so many meanings but all comes down to one thing. I love this post.
Aww I loved this! I love my mother like no other! I used to have a sweatshirt that said, “I call my favorite teacher ‘MOMMY’ ” 🙂
what wonderful quotes. and a great post for Mother’s Day – victoria
We celebrate Mother’s Day here in the Philippines during the month of May. We should all love our moms and show appreciation every day.
I agree that a mother’s job is never done. It’s the best job I have ever had so I am happy about that! Xo
What a lovely post! I don’t get to celebrate with my mum anymore as she lives in Europe, which celebrates at a different time to us in the UK but always send cards and presents over at the UK time. Now I get to celebrate Mother’s Day with my own munchin who treated me to a rosette this year! 🙂 Sim x
Being a Mom is certainly not easy and it requires great amounts of patience, love, and dedication if you ask me. That’s why I have so much respect for Moms – they’re the whole package and are one of God’s sweetest blessings.
Being a mom is certainly not an easy task. I think it requires limitless amounts of patience & dedication as well as unconditional love. I have so much respect for Moms – they are one of God’s sweetest blessings.
A great post, for all mummies out there!~ Whether being appreciated or not, a mum will continue to do whatever she should, for the best of her kids..
Wow! Love your post! Meaningful 🙂 I love my mom very much
Mother’s Day is celebrated in Singapore in May too… Any reason why it’s March in UK? The role of a mother is very very important and I feel that she should be appreciated every month!
Oh I’m in tears. That is so true, even we we fail, we’re always just trying to do right. Sniff. I love my children with all my heart, I do everything for them. 🙂
I love that Moms are celebrated around the world throughout the year. Just think, I could travel the world and go to a new place each month to be celebrated! lol
moms can be compared to Superman less the Kryptonite stuff.. ha,ha,ha.. But I must agree being a mom is a full-time job with great rewards.
Moms love unconditionally and they are the ones you can trust blindly! My mom is my support system and she is my pillar of strength.
The quote in the beginning was truly meaningful and correct for all moms’ out there. Indeed there is none as difficult and rewarding as experiencing motherhood.
My Mother is my mentor, inspirator, sister and the person that i admire and respect the most. Awesome post! Happy Mother’s Day.
Women’s history month is very important, and inspiring to women and girls worldwide. The quotes are beautiful reminders of this very fact!
Mothers have a pivotal role to play in the family and society at at large.
To be truthful, I don’t believe in celebrating mother’s day. I believe we should do little things to make our mothers happy every day.
I am a mom of two kids and I admit raising them is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Having no support from their father, I have to financially manage their expenses by working long hours and teach them proper manners at the same time. Moms have super powers I believe.
I totally agree because I am mother too and it’s not an easy profession..it is a passion.
Thanks for sharing, to me everyday is Mother’s Day..show to them while they are around. I have made a point to call my mum every morning just to talk to her even though we are miles away…
I knew not everybody celebrated their Mother’s Day in May. But I believe every day we should respect and honor our mothers. My mother is far away from me but nothing brings me so much joy when she comes over to visit. Cannot wait for her to be here with my father in less than a month’s time!
I love taking my mom out for Mothers Day! Being a mom is so tough when you are being up kids.
I didn’t know that Mother’s Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries. Here in the Philippines, we celebrate it every second Sunday of May. Glad that this is celebrated all over the world so as to give back to our loving mothers who brought us. We owe everything to them.
