Weekly Photo Challenge: DETAILS – IN NATURE & THE KITCHEN

For this week’s photo challenge on DETAILS, I have taken photos of familiar and not so familiar items to make it a bit more interesting. I’ve always been a fan of macro/close-up shots so it was a joy to do. I kept wanting to add color too. The big photo above is holding orange bits of glass and a purple hibiscus stem. I love how we can see the tiny bubbles inside the vase, the lines on the leaves,  and one large bubble close to the leaves on top.  What do you recognize? Come back for more and the big picture…

Weekly Photo Challenge: DETAILS – IN NATURE & THE KITCHEN (mini sweet red peppers)

From the largest to the smallest item, there is always room for more details. Are you familiar with those red mini sweet peppers? They are delicious and their seeds have a subtle bite that adds depth to the flavor.  Across from the pepper is a wild mushroom cap. I saw it in my yard. No, I won’t be digging it up to eat. The purple hibiscus is clear to all. But what’s that across from it with an intricate pattern? Any guesses? Beneath the hibiscus is an orange… pretty obvious, right? On the opposite side is an avocado.  The rest I’ll share below. Thank you!

Ahh, so what about the rest? That intricately designed piece is a cantaloupe, the yellow fruit with the brown pit is a peach, and last but not least, is a half eaten coconut chocolate macaroon. Hope you enjoyed the close ups. Have a restful weekend! My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: DETAILS  – Discover the intimate details of something unexpected, and share your images with us. For this week’s challenge, try to look past the big picture and take a more intimate approach. Zoom in on details in unexpected places — it can be something from the natural world, or it can be human-made. We’re excited to see what you find with your lens.

Positive Motivation Tip: The little details add magic to every day items… Pay attention.
