We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining – they just shine. Dwight L. Moody

Happy Easter! Why An Edge? If you started the new year making all sorts of resolutions to achieve a number of goals, this Easter gives you a chance to stop, take stock, and determine whether you have an edge over your goals or if you need to ramp up your efforts with renewed vigor. We are 3 months ( 1/4  year) into 2016 and it is never too late to reignite our passions and get working on making our plans stick. Easter, as a special day of celebration, offers us gifts to help us along. One of the special gifts we receive at Easter is a spirit of renewal; it is a time of rebirth and an opportunity to start afresh again. We can resurrect plans we set aside and take that extra edge off by accomplishing all the things we put aside. Another gift of Easter is a return to Hope; as we look around us and contemplate the conflicts and instability around the world, we can build up Hope by focusing on participating in good works for our communities and ourselves.

Life is full of surprises and it is easy to have our best plans derailed by unforeseen circumstances. If you’ve experienced any challenging events, this year, that put one or more of the looks our funny Easter eggs above are sporting, on your face, know that you are not alone. Take the edge off by recommitting your self to overcome any stumbling blocks. Breathe new life into your goals. You can do it! #HappyEaster!

The symbolic language of the crucifixion is the death of the old paradigm; resurrection is a leap into a whole new way of thinking. Deepak Chopra

Are You Ready To Make a Paradigm Shift & Move Ahead?: In case you were wondering why I chose the funny Easter egg shots, above, for this post, it is to remind us all to enjoy the gift of humor and good cheer and enjoy a laugh or two. Give up the feelings of worry and despair and recommit to shift directions and start afresh. Another special gift we can hold unto at Easter is the gift of familial connections; cherish the joyful celebration of spending time and sharing meals with loved ones. Whether we take some time to attend a special service, visit with our loved ones or communicate with good friends to wish them well, we can make a joyful noise and be reminded again to show gratitude for the blessings in our lives. Refresh, renew, and reconnect with all that add joy and happiness to your life and have a wonderful #HappyEaster! How did you spend your Easter? Happy Easter to you and yours!

This Post is partly inspired by a WordPress Daily Post Prompt: Edge – Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt. Not sure how to participate? Here are the steps to get started.

Positive Motivation Tip:  Take the winter blues edge off by celebrating your goals and life. The spirit of Easter awakens hope in our hearts.

I think you used “edge” in two different ways. I never thought of using the word in those ways. I didn’t think of Easter and its gifts either. One of the gifts you named renewal. Didn’t think of it. So thank you. It’s so easy to have a narrow eye. Not see new and different ways to experience the holidays.

Likewise… I feel reawakened during this season. Also winter starts to head home and spring arrives. What’s not to love right? <3

Great post, I will definitely be using your ‘gifts’ as a teaching focus next year with my littles.
