“Put yourself in a state of mind where you say to yourself, “Here is an opportunity for you to celebrate like never before, my own power, my own ability to get myself to do whatever is necessary.” Anthony Robbins
“Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking;” Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy

STATE OF MIND – The Power of Colors & Textures: I’ve always believed that our words, photos/symbols and actions reflect our state of mind and so it is wide to choose carefully how we want to spend our time; both internally and externally. I love nature, color, textures and art, and I create collages that combine my interpretation of those mediums because I see the richness they bring to all aspects of life. I chose to add a few collages I created using those mediums for today’s exercise. So what you will see are photos that have been enhanced, brightened, changed and made into many forms that reflect my state of mind. I hope you enjoy this approach and I will come see yours. Our state of mind is a delicate balance of our hopes, dreams and our reality … Be vigilant with yours.

“Happiness is nothing but a state of mind which only your thoughts and beliefs could place you in.” Edmond Mbiaka

“Freedom is not a place. It’s a state of mind.” Fennel Hudson
“Cool is not an attitude – It’s a state of mind” Roy Smoothe
“Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.” Samuel Ullman

HOW DID YOU DO THAT? I find that color cheers me up; especially in the winter season so I find myself gravitating towards things that add color to my world. Come back soon for more photos and an explanation on how this was created.

What Is Your STATE OF MIND?

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: STATE OF MINDEvery photo we take says something about our emotions at the moment of taking it. So this week, share an image where you see a particularly strong connection between what we see and what you felt as you pressed that shutter button on your camera or phone. I look forward to seeing your photos!

Positive Motivation Tip: Our words, photos/symbols, and actions reflect our state of mind. Be vigilant with yours.

I completely agree that happiness is a state of mind. There was a time before that I was in a hopeless situation, but I still managed to keep myself happy. As what Peter Pan said, ” Just think of happy thoughts and you’ll fly.”

Our State of mind leads to the actions we take. It is important that we consciously analyze our state of mind and keep it in the positive zone.

The right colors do have a way of cheering you up. The opposite is true too. I like light and airy colors. 🙂

Love your concept of expressing the state of mind through colors & textures. True, all colors and textures bring out a certain emotion from within us…

Certain colors always cheer me up and the brighter, the better! I love to add pops of color in my home during the winter since I am not able to do much gardening!

I’m a bit the same about colors. Winter tends to make me blue. Although I love that color, during the winter I look for brighter colors like pink, and yellow. Takes way the gloom.

I totally agree with this philosophy that joy (but perhaps not happiness) is a state of mind. The right outlook is so important for our well-being.

Happiness is a state of mind, however I believe happy comes and goes. Some moments I might feel sad, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have joy. Have a great weekend!
