Human spirit is the ability to face the uncertainty of the future with curiosity and optimism. It is the belief that problems can be solved, differences resolved. It is a type of confidence. And it is fragile. It can be blackened by fear and superstition. Bernard Beckett

For this exercise, I’ve chosen to share the beautiful double rainbow I saw a week ago. It showed up after a heavy rainfall and took up an immense expanse of the sky. It was so breathtaking that I pulled off the road to capture it. First from inside the car, then when others pulled up to do same, I stepped out and took a few more. My only regret is that I didn’t have my DSLR camera with me so the shots you see are from my smartphone camera. I chose the rainbow because it is a symbol of optimism and hope. As the colder weather settles in, and we prepare for a major snowstorm tomorrow, the rainbow and all its vibrant colors will stay close to my heart and mind’s eyes. I hope the predictions won’t be as bad tomorrow… Stay warm!

Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A ‘you can do it’ when things are tough. Richard M. DeVos

Hello all! I hope your weekend will be filled with optimism and joy. if you have any doubts, stop by and check out my double rainbow images and remind yourself to go with the flow…

My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. Check out how others interpreted the theme – OPTIMISTIC – below.

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: OPTIMISTIC – This week show us something you’re optimistic about, or perhaps a talisman that helps you stay positive and hopeful, regardless of what life (and the weather!) throws your way.

I try to look at things in a positive light and am usually always optimistic. There are days that it is harder than others. I love the rainbows that you posted here.

There is nothing like a rainbow to lift our spirits and help us see the miracle in nature. We just had some rain but i haven’t been out to see rainbows yet. Loved the images.

There is no Rainbow without the Rain and its then same for life…No testimony without a test, all good things come with teir own challenges and all we have to do is trust that the source of life will take us through them. What a lovely photo challenge candidate!

Beautiful rainbows! My son is learning about rainbows, he loves “The Storm Book”, it’s a story about how hot and dry it is, then a storm comes, and then at the end when the storm is gone, a beautiful rainbow appears. He SMILES so big every time we get to that page!

Beautiful rainbow pictures! My son is learning about rainbow and loves the storm book. He gets through the storm and learns at the end about rainbows coming after the storm! He lights up when he sees the rainbow at the end of the story!

What keeps me optimistic about life are the same things that motivate me to wake up each morning and the same reasons that make me push harder. There are times that it becomes challenging but if you have your eye at the goal, you’ll realize that it will keep you going.

It’s not easy to remain positive all the time and I was in a lot of trouble recently, having to handle a mean boss who seem to be finding fault with every single thing I do just because I’m leaving the job. It was disappointing, but I told myself he’s just making it easier for me to let go…

I always make a conscious effort to be positive and stay optimistic about things. It makes difficult situations easier. A negative attitude never works so might as well find the good in any bad moment or challenge that life throws at you.
