Weekly Photo Challenge: CIRCLE – Happy New Year 2016!

Take a leap of faith and begin this wondrous new year by believing. Believe in yourself. And believe that there is a loving Source – a Sower of Dreams – just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true. Sarah Ban Breathnach

Happy New Year! We have come full circle to the beginning of anther year and, as we conclude our celebrations for the first day of the year, let’s take a moment to look back and then make plans to move forward with knowledge and gratitude. We can choose to put our inner glasses on and make a commitment to embrace our higher self this year. We can look at the world through rose tinted glasses while staying grounded in the here and now. However YOU choose to embrace this year, do it with joy and confidence. Take that leap and soar!

For this Challenge, I took the 2016 New Year celebration glasses we collected and created a colorful collage of them.  At the stroke of midnight, we put them on, joined the throngs of people around NYC to count down the clock and welcome 2016. The glasses were a colorful and fun addition to our celebrations and I’m delighted to start this year on a lighter note. Glasses give us a chance to glimpse the outer world but, they really show us what is going on inside of ourselves… the world is how you see it!

The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals. Melody Beattie

Happy New Year! For several years, I’ve sent out the twelve gifts/blessings below because they’ve always added a positive influence on how I spend my year. Instead of New Year’s resolutions, again, I offer each of you all twelve gifts and encourage you to practice choosing one as a point of focus every month. This post includes a prompt from the Weekly Photo Challenge: Weekly Photo Challenge: CIRCLE Today, let a familiar shape inspire you. With this theme, you may go literal, and look for things around you with perfectly round shapes: your wedding ring, the bubbles your daughter blows, the curvy sculptures at your local museum, or the glittery sphere that falls during a New Year’s Eve countdown. Or, you might consider what this familiar shape represents: the cycle of life and death, infinity, perfection, and more. AND The Daily Post Prompt: Stroke of Midnight. Where were you last night at midnight? Would you have wanted to be somewhere else? Sharing is caring.

Positive Motivation Tip: A New Year brings new ways of seeing the world and everything around us. Seize this opportunity to adjust your lens and aim for YOUR best and highest Self.
