Happy Halloween! Review and Giveaway for New Care Bears Halloween DVD: As the scary ghouls and candy monsters of Halloween draw near, the good guys, our beloved Care Bears, have graced us with a new and non-scary Halloween-themed adventure movie to share with the kids. If you know me and my family, you’d know that we are not fans of scary movies or even Halloween related gore so, I was pleased to learn about the latest Care Bears DVD, Care Bears: Mystery in Care-A-Lot which was released in September; just in time for Halloween. This new DVD entertains the kids with Halloween stories without the typical frightening stuff. There is so much on the market this season to give us, kids and adults, the heebie-jeebies and the Care Bears have come to the rescue with a new release that features some fun entertainment that celebrates Halloween without the gore.
I think it is a terrific idea to have options for entertainment and products that are sweet, safe and fun for the little ones during this season. In this special collection of Care Bear adventures, The Bears show the power of caring and sharing as they transform bad dreams into sweet ones, solve the mystery of the legendary Scare Bear, and save Care-a-Lot from turning into Grump-a-Lot. Will Sweet Dreams get her dreams back? Will the Care Bears find the Scary, Balding, Ghost of Benafair? Will Grumpy be able to help the other bears from turning Care-a-Lot into Grump-a-Lot? Yes, they have survived because they share a positive and caring message for all.
When I saw the title of your post, Eliz, I had to come and read it…our daughter’s name is Caroline, but we always called her Carrie…and in the 80’s, she had so many Care Bears we started calling her Care Bear…you are right, they are sweet and lovable and oh so cute.

It sounds cute. I used to love the Care Bears when I was a kid. I really wanted my own care bear. I don’t think I ever got one, but I thought they were super cool and loved the cartoon.

I remember the Christmas when they were the must have gift for my daughter and friends and they were in short supply, oh the angst!
Hahaha! I remember when one of my kids lost her favorite Care Bear and we searched every where for it. We looked in stores for a replacement and drove many miles upstate to purchase a replacement in a consignment store. She still has it… Love the Care Bears too!

It is so cool seeing Care bears again. I adored them as a little girl and now my kids can watch them. My son was watching Tom and Jerry the other day and it was so surreal.

Care Bear is one of the oldest, cutest cartoon which I didn’t get to watch and was amazed how popular it is, even till now. I have friends who are collectors of the soft toys and go crazy over them.
