Musings: Can A Hug Make You Happy?
“The sun shines down, and its image reflects in a thousand different pots filled with water. The reflections are many, but they are each reflecting the same sun. Similarly, when we come to know who we truly are, we will see ourselves in all people.” Mata Amritanandamayi, (The Hugging Saint)
Give Someone a Hug Today: We all need a loving touch and each of us reflect the same sun. In NYC, from this Sunday through Tuesday, Amma will be at The Javits Center, dispensing her special brand of hugging love. Go get a hug and give a hug
If, as per our WordPress Sunday Daily Prompt, I could honor a person today, it would be Amma for love wisdom and humanitarian efforts.
Have a great week ahead everyone!

You are so right, a hug can always make you happy. But I must admit that I won’t get near anyone who I am not totally comfortable with. My boys and dog (and hubby too) get the majority of my affection.

Back here to give you a virtual hug!
It has been known that human touch, specially hugging releases endorphins or the “feel-good” hormone. It releases stress, gives us the feeling of security, and boosts our self-confidence.
Hugs can make a huge difference. I know that when I’m feeling down and out, a hug from my spouse or kids gently lifts my spirits.
I love hugs so much!! They always make me smile. My mom, dad, sister, brother, husband, daughter, nephews, friends and babies. All hugs from these special people make me happy.
Hugs and kisses are simply the best! I’m lucky I have a toddler who I can always get hugs and kisses out of (well, almost always). I’m already dreading the days down the road when he’ll be “too cool” for giving his mama some love!
I only hug if I know somebody but if not, I will just say “Hi”
Hugging is very powerful medicine to make someone feel so comfort and secure & to let them know that you are with them & you stand by them. A great way to express your love!
