Weekly Photo Challenge: MUSE…

Weekly Photo Challenge: MUSE… Tangy Cat is my Muse

The muse is not an angelic voice that sits on your shoulder and sings sweetly. The muse is the most annoying whine. The muse isn’t hard to find, just hard to like – she follows you everywhere, tapping you on the shoulder, demanding that you stop doing whatever else you might be doing and pay attention to her. Harlan Coben

Color is my muse …  Whenever we think of a MUSE, we think of a person, male or female, who inspires our creative outlet. Our muse could be something other than a person, it could be something deeper that prompts our inspiration to flow…  When I think about what inspires me to pick up my camera and take some shots, the first thing that stands out is COLOR; colors in nature, the surroundings, art, buildings, people, food, fabrics, and everything in between. Yes, I like black and white photos but, color entices me and I can never, ever get enough of it. Another MUSE is Tangy, our family cat. He is always entertaining and loves to pose for photos. I’ve included a collage of some of my favorite shots of him above. What about you? What/who is your creative MUSE?

“I’m not in control of my muse. My muse does all the work.” Ray Bradbury

Weekly Photo Challenge: MUSE… Color is my Muse

I never try to convey a message, I just want to tell a story. Why that story in particular? I have no idea, but I have learned to surrender to the muse. I become obsessed with a theme or with certain stories; they haunt me for years, and finally, I write them. Isabel Allende

We live in a world filled with colors; from the rainbow to flowers, food and fauna, there is enough color to keep us busy appreciating the universe we inhabit. When I think of people who are filled with disdain for others, I feel sorry for their inability to appreciate the rich and colorful diversity that makes our world so, so interesting. Would you like more of sameness? I wouldn’t. Have a color filled weekend!
My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. Check out how others interpreted the theme below.

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: MUSE  For this week’s photo challenge, What subject keeps you coming back? This week, show us your muse. So what’s your muse — what subject do you turn to frequently, more inspired each time?

Positive Motivation Tip: Color is my inspiration. I see it everywhere, and when I don’t, I create it… my Muse knows this too and together color rules our universe.

Love the collage of the different foods that you got posted here (the one on the lowermost right corner). Curious, what camera do you use when you take your pictures?

    • 28/06/2015 6:13 pm

I use either my Canon DSLR or my Canon SX130 or my smartphone camera. I also do photo editing on some of my shots to improve them… Hope that answered your question.

A person’s personality bounds to be revealed through his mind and soul. Writing a non-fiction or fiction story can be related to your muse, experiences, knowledge and the whole you. Likewise, the more you use your muse, the more you want somebody to peep in inside your soul. Fernando Lachica

Weird, but I completely understand the idea of muse. Sometimes I just need to draw or write or create something. I am not settled until I do. And when it is done i feel such a sense of satisfaction and relief! The quotes you used are perfect and I can relate!

  16. 27/06/2015 4:19 am

A muse can put the great into the ordinary by sparking unlimited love or admiration or lust or just loads of irritation, but we all need one. Without them we have no one we need to reach or understand, and where would art be without those impulses
