As in nature, all is ebb and tide, all is wave motion, so it seems that in all branches of industry, alternating currents – electric wave motion – will have the sway. Nikola Tesla

“Moreover, since the sun remains stationary, whatever appears as a motion of the sun is really due rather to the motion of the earth.” Nicolaus Copernicus

Look at what you want to change, gather a few people who believe in it like you do, and start moving forward. It’s important to remember that you don’t always need a destination. Sometimes, you just have to make forward motion. And you absolutely can. Debby Ryan

Weekly Photo Challenge: MOTION!

Yet it is in this loneliness that the deepest activities begin. It is here that you discover act without motion, labor that is profound repose, vision in obscurity, and, beyond all desire, a fulfillment whose limits extend to infinity. Thomas Merton

My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. Check out how others interpreted the theme below.

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: MOTION For This week, share your photographs that have captured motion, and tell us the stories behind the images. Capturing motion is a beautiful way to convey a story in a photograph, sometimes even more so than a photo of the same subject in a stationary pose. Some situations lend themselves to “action” photography; sports, dance, the wind gusting through trees on a stormy evening, but anything that can move is a candidate for these types of shots.

Positive Motivation Tip: Life is all about motion. Keep stepping forward and spread the joy!

Yup, it’s all about keeping things moving for us. We don’t know how to slow down here in Boston, though.

I absolutely agree that sometimes you don’t need a destination…it’s just about forward momentum! I equate forward movement with growth…physical, emotional, spiritual.

What is the opposite of motion? stagnation, that’s impossible isn’t it? Love the quotes and I’m intrigued, where was the photo of the big hall with three curved windows taken?

    • 27/04/2015 5:18 am

The big hall is Grand Central Station, NY. It is always filled with people milling around and felt it would be ideal. Perhaps I should have added one with an image of a person flashing by… 😉
