Haiku: National Pet Day

National Pet Day
Pets, all they’re cracked up to be…
Our cat, Tangy, too

You lost your mother
But found a new home with us
All pets crave a home

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.”Sigmund Freud

Haiku: National Pet Day – Tangy Cat we love you

That beautiful day
Rescued from a kill shelter
You came home with us

You never looked back
Your love, like all pets, was pure
Free from conditions

“If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.” James Herriot

You cleaved to us
Tender eyes searching for love…
We cleaved to you.

Tangy proved to us
Pets, all they’re cracked up to be…
Their day … every day

Have a great weekend!

Don’t kitties just love to be up on the newest thing in the house? Even unsnuggley boxes.

No arguing with those sentiments, and your little Tangy is gorgeous.

I’ve had a number of close chums who happened to be animals, the last of whom was my dog Truffles, who my daughter’s loved dearly. Apart from us he was already surrounded by seven cats so you can see animal love was a key part of the household. By the way, my second book, “The Man who Missed The Boat” had just been issued on Amazon. Wish me luck 🙂

Is Tangy a girl? She’s gorgeous and certainly knows how to make herself comfy 🙂

This is a sweet post indeed. I love the first quote indeed. Those who haven’t loved an animal are truly missing something in my eyes anyway. I have three male dogs and a female albino fancy leopard gecko. They are truly my babies. I love this cat who is so so cute. Thanks for sharing.

Awww! Those looks adorable. We do not have cat but we do have an adopted Pitbull female dog named Maggie from the Animal Shelter.

Your cat is beautiful, especially the color of its eyes. My husband and I are severely allergic to cats but I really like them anyway. I wish I could own a cat.

Awh, you can tell you love Tangy.
We lost our cat this year and haven’t been able to bring ourselves to get another, fearing losing one again (it was very hard on the kids).
We may have to consider it though, as I miss kitty cuddles.
