Snow, snow, everywhere
Winter’s blankets … White embrace
Clearing space for grace
Snow, snow, here and there
Soon, Spring’s colored blooms will come
Earth’s bird-songs return
There is grace around us all; we just have to open the door to receive it. It comes in many ways and to each of us, it is a unique experience. Stay tuned to the whisperings of your heart and you will hear it calling you to spread your wings and soar.

Soon, the rains will come
Bringing Crocus to our doors
Harbingers of Spring
Grace arrives brightly
Sun rays piercing through the clouds
Thawing hearts and homes
Cold hearts awaken
When grace knocks on frozen doors
A cleansing begins…
On Monday, we will start a two-week journey on the path of poetry. You may join in and share your poetic pieces with the group. I’m starting early to get my feet wet. I hope you will join in and share your insights. As it turned out, our first assignment is on water… Awesome! I had this idea of writing about the snow and the cleansing that will come when spring returns. It was percolating in my head before I knew the assignment. Totally cool. I’m glad I had cleansing as a focal point.

To cleanse space for grace
From snow, spring comes home to stay. There is grace around us all; when we open our hearts and doors to receive it, miracles happen. The fears and limited expectations we hold for ourselves fall away, and all that is left … is Grace!

We just got about 2 more feet of snow here – on top of the 2 feet we already had. It is not any fun around here.
Ugh girl, I’m over it and we didn’t even get as much as you did. God please send Spring. Right now it’s windy with flurries again. We decided to skip shoveling our driveway. It’s a waste of time. Every time you try more snow falls. I have a steep driveway and the delivery guy said it’s safer to leave the snow on it. At least you have some support when going down it. We did the steps and parts of it iced over. so I’m done. This too shall pass! 🙂
I remember spring. *sigh*
Hahaha! Me too… Right now we are snowed in and I’m looking forward to sun and flowers. 🙂

What beautiful pictures of the snow! We miss the snow since we are down in Alabama. The verses of poetry are beautiful as well.
I love the opening quote. Traveling brings some element of happiness to me (quite a bit actually) so the first few words made me start, but of course he’s 100% correct just the same. Happiness isn’t found outwardly, it’s just experienced that way from time to time. True happiness and peace is def. an internal matter. 🙂

I used to make haikus back in high school. I love the photos you shared here.
That’s a really gorgeous poem. Haikus have always been one of my favorite styles of poetry. I’m in the Chicago area, so I really needed something like this to help me appreciate the weather. =D
The bleeding heart flowers are simply gorgeous. I’d love to sit out in a field of fresh flowers and just zone out 🙂

Lovely haiku about snow, but I do not have any happy, warm and fuzzy feelings about our current weather situation. It is freezing in Upstate New York, and we have mountains (literally) of snow everywhere. It almost makes me feel claustrophobic.
Beautiful photos, I am loving all the spring blooms. Such a lovely haiku too, it’s so important to remember to enjoy all that is around us.
