Dean Martin – That’s Amore (1956)

Love… that’s amore
It strikes at unusual times
In strangest places

Haiku: That’s Amore

Life… that’s amore
We wait in vain for lovers
To shine like the moon

“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.” Thornton Wilder

Trust … that’s amore
When we let love flows, it grows
Open, let love blossom…

I haven’t thought of that song in forever. It’s a good one. You’re so right about love coming in unexpected ways. I am trying to be more open to it.

I love reading Haiku. I’ve never been so great at writing it, as I tend to be verbose. Love the one about trust.

It sounds odd, but my relationship with my husband hasn’t really changed all that much in the 11 years we have been married. I still am as thrilled to be with him as when we first married!

This post made me think of my grandparents. They used to sing this song all the time to us. They were married over 60 years too. That’s love!

our love has changed immeasurably over time. how can it not? we’ve changed and grown, had kids, changed careers, aged…. but it’s a deeper love, a less in love love, but a lasting one. and the friendship is still there, on a new level
