Reflections: At A Crossroads…

We reached an impasse
The crossroad to the unknown
Time won’t wait for us

In life, we sometimes reach a point of indecision; a crossroad. At that point, we must stop and reflect, look back and then move forward. What crossroads have you had in your life?

“Stand at the crossroads if you will, but if you’ll not choose, I’ll move on without you” Jacqueline Carey

At the great juncture
Our secrets and fears stood guard
A crossroad unclear

At a crossroads, I had been faced with a choice: two possible versions of my future mapped out ahead of me… Catherine Sanderson

At the crossroads… choice
The future waits to meet us
We travel alone..

What are your crossroads? What do you fear?

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: If You Leave – CROSSROADS. Life is a series of beginnings and endings. We leave one job to start another; we quit cities, countries, or continents for a fresh start; we leave lovers and begin new relationships. What was the last thing you contemplated leaving? What were the pros and cons? Have you made up your mind? What will you choose?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us CROSSROADS.

Positive Motivation Tip: In life, we sometimes reach a point of indecision; a crossroad. At that point, we must stop and reflect, look back and then move forward.

I don’t know. I feel like I am indecisive all the time. It’s more that I think I care too much about what other people want.

Crossroads can be so scary and I hate to think about the what if’s and what not’s. I will say that I have an easier time dealing w them .. only because I have a pretty good husband that puts the confidence back in me.

I think my main crossroad is should we move to a smaller home with less yard or not. I keep telling myself you will know when it is time. If you question it is not time.

There are many crossroads in our lives. I often wonder how my life would have turned out had a chosen the road less followed.

The last thing I contemplated leaving is probably my job – about every other day! haha! Seriously though, I have really thought about it, but figured I better stay where I am! 🙂

I often worry if the decision I am making is the best one, but am learning to go with my gut on these decisions.

I have came to many crossroads in my life. But the most recent was to stay in a career but be sad that I am missing days in my babies lives or to quit a career I love with no idea of how easy it will be to return in 6 years. I chose to quit and stay at home with my kids but it wasn’t a decision that I took lightly

I enjoy posts like these, they tend to give me what I need to keep thinking positively. It’s important to reflect from time to time.

I’ve reached a few big crossroads in my life. Sometimes a decision you make at one crossroads will lead to an even bigger crossroads later on!

Wise words! I love your motivation tip today!

I have found myself at a few crossroads recently and I think it is always best to reflect on the past in addition to the present. This is always helps me decide between two paths.

This is a great post that I’m sure every single one of us can relate to at some point in time. Thank you for sharing. That’s a cool aerial shot too, of the crossroads!

Love the quote by Jacqueline Carey. Definitely though provoking and very timely.

Crossroads can be scary. You’re afraid of the decision make or path you’ll take and just as afraid of the ones you don’t. You just have to have confidence and make the choice you think is best for you!.

Your pics are so nicely done. I’m not at a crossroads right now but my son is trying to decide what to major in so he is!

Those photos are great. Crossroads are frightening. I feel like I’m always AT one trying to choose the best path.

Life often brings us to a crossroads. Some are scary, at first, but make life so much better in the end if we make the right decisions.

I love the images you used to express “crossroads”. COming to a crossroads in your life can be nerve-wracking, and we always hope we’ve made the right choice.

Lately I’ve found that I’m not faced with as many (major) decisions as usual. I have to admit, it’s a nice break.

Love your pictures! Crossroads can be small decisions, too, with cumulative effects that end up turning into much larger changes as time passes. It’s only in hindsight that they’re fully appreciated!
