I’ve always fancied myself a music lover and wanna be entertainer. At one point in my life, I loved taking charge at parties and rocking the tunes… Music is truly a pure form of joy that each of us can interpret anyway we wish. I’d like to share a few songs I like and hopefully you can add yours in the comments. What type of music do I like? My taste is pretty far reaching. It has to speak to me first… So enjoy a sampling of songs I love… I put Pharrell first because HAPPY is exactly what music makes me feel. Come back later for more!

I enjoy African music too and because there are a number of festivals this year, I thought I should add a couple of my favorites to this list. I love Fela’s music very much and he was always in the forefront of African music. The other two videos offer you a nice selection of music from the continent. If you’ve ever wanted to sample some music from long standing African Divas, I’d recommend these two posts of mine: Sweet Sensations I: African Divas Sing… and Sweet Sensations II: African Divas Sing… So enjoy the tunes and check back for more later.

I have always been a fan of music. I used to write down all the lyrics of my favorite songs growing up when there were cassette tapes and I could stop and rewind.
