A lot of craziness will ensue, and a ton of money spent. I am happy if it helps my local economy here in NYC!
    thanks,
    Mitch

Thanks for this post, Eliz! Quell horreur! If not for you, I would not have know who was playing.:) Now that we are in New Hampshire, I didn’t realize the Denver Broncos had made it this far. Well, if I were watching, I guess I would have to cheer for them.:)
Great tidbits of interesting info…and always wonderful to read anything you write.:)

Fun facts. I was in Times Square yesterday and saw the Super Bowl Boulevard toboggan ride. What trivia do you have about the trophy? We saw that too yesterday!

  5. 02/02/2014 2:41 pm

Oh love this information. I must admit I am sort of clueless about the SuperBowl!

  6. 02/02/2014 2:56 pm

I hope everyone in the stands is warm enough! What a miserable day for the game :\ Can’t wait to watch the commercials once they’re posted online, though!

  7. 02/02/2014 3:47 pm

Interesting facts. I don’t care that much about the game unless the Pats are in it – which obviously they aren’t this year. Sigh….

I thought it was pretty cool that the Super Bowl stadium is named after MetLife. I guess that is some pretty good advertising in itself.

I didn’t know any of these! I will admit, I watched the game mostly for the commercials.

  11. 02/02/2014 8:38 pm

So interesting – I had no idea! What a game!

  12. 02/02/2014 8:49 pm

The only thing you missed is bets will be made! And I lost mine (a lotto ticket to hubs). *sigh* lol 🙂

  13. 02/02/2014 8:51 pm

Oh never mind, you said ‘bets galore,’ I see. Well, I still lost, and to anyone else it would be fine, but my husband g.l.o.a.t.s when he wins. I’m considering withholding breakfast tomorrow if he walks by and says ‘Seattle’ one more time. 😉

Those are some interesting facts!! I was rooting for the Broncos, however, I do love to see a coach win for the first time, so YAY for Coach Carroll! Hoping my home team is in it next year, especially since our city will be hosting the Super Bowl!

Of course I don’t have cable so I don’t even watch it!

  16. 03/02/2014 5:08 am

I really don’t know a lot about the SuperBowl besides the guys are chasing each other for the ball. LOL So this post was helpful for me to learn a bit more about history.

  17. 03/02/2014 6:04 am

I never knew any of this about the Super Bowl! Thanks for the info, I didn’t realize there was so much history behind it!

  18. 03/02/2014 6:08 am

I didn’t know that the Super Bowl had so much history! Thanks for sharing this cool info!

After game fact: You missed it was the first victory ever for the Seahawks, and that its supporters are the noisiest in the country, which is why they got the ‘title’ of the 12th man. (and btw, i’m one of them… yay hawks! 😉

  20. 03/02/2014 11:45 am

Hi Eliz, sorry I’m not into football, so no tips to share. 🙂

  21. 03/02/2014 11:57 am

Those are some awesome facts! We watched the Super Bowl and the one tip that I have for next year is make sure to bring something to read in case it’s a shut out lol

  22. 03/02/2014 12:17 pm

this is the Seahawks 1st superbowl win. I’m a big fan and am over the mood today

I went to a Super Bowl party last night and didn’t watch a single minute of the game. I spent the evening chatting with friends and enjoying delicious food! For some women, you could add “lots of hanging out with friends and absolutely no time watching the game”.

  24. 03/02/2014 4:07 pm

Well how about that game huh?! Bruno Mars rocked it out though! Too bad football had to interrupt such a great concert 😉

What fun facts! It was fun to see the game played in a cold-weather stadium. Too bad it didn’t now =P

  26. 03/02/2014 6:59 pm

I have to be honest. I know nothing about the Super Bowl. I just know that the Broncos got spanked really badly yesterday according to hubby. 🙂

  27. 04/02/2014 8:03 pm

That was interesting about the defense and offense facts. I also didn’t know the facts about Pete Carroll. When I watch the Super Bowl, I don’t like to see a ‘blow-out’ but I was glad that the Seahawks won. Good for them.

  28. 04/02/2014 8:23 pm

This is sooo not the sport over here in Norway, so I don’t know anything about it. Other than what I’ve seen in movies of course 😉

  29. 04/02/2014 10:13 pm

I couldn’t care less about the game, or football–ever! LOL! But I enjoyed having my son sit in our living room and watch the big game with his dad. They had fun, so I did, too! 🙂

  30. 04/02/2014 11:09 pm

Wow so many interesting facts. I watch but I am not really a fan.

Still happy about the Super Bowl win. Seattle is having our first Seahawks Superbowl Victory Parade tomorrow!

  32. 05/02/2014 1:22 am

Very interesting facts. I love trivia like that.

  33. 05/02/2014 6:13 am

I do actually watch the games every year but I was sad to see Peyton Manning lose. But I mostly love the commercials too, haha!!

  34. 05/02/2014 10:24 am

Fun facts! My husband is a sports reporter and would love to see this.

Oh this was fun info I can share with my class. I personally don’t watch it and don’t know anything about it. SO when I see them tomorrow I will have something to share instead of just looking like a deer in headlights when they talk about the super bowl.

  36. 06/02/2014 5:09 am

This year was the worst SuperBowl I’ve ever watched! 🙁
