I had ginormous fun last weekend attending a Chinese New Year in LA Chinatown. Lots of cool performance, lion dances, the whole place looks so festive, and it’s just so much awesome-r than regular New Year. Way better than a bunch of drunken people counting down from 10 to 2, skipping number 4 and shouting out 1. I think Dick Clark feels so small every Chinese New Year. Ahihihihi.

Well, I just learned a thing or two! We don’t do much for Chinese New year, but I think I may show this to my kids.

Lunar New Year is a fun holiday and I love everything about it. It is easy to navigate in because everything is laid out for you, you just have to take it. We have a bit of chinese blood in our veins, in our country we have traditions they do to bring luck in the family, career or business. We still respect a few and as long as we are good then bad stuff goes away!
