Haiku: May Peace Prevail…

19/12/2012

“I visualize a world without war, and where politicians are interested only in politics of peace and love. What do you visualize today?” Robert Holden

Haiku: May Peace Prevail...

Haiku: May Peace Prevail…

To our Dear Leader
Our New Year‘s wish, Global Peace
A World without War…

For our dear Children
May PEACE prevail; Peace with Grace
And Hate, strife, recede…

If there is one thing we need in 2013, it is Peace; local and global calm. Enough with wars, hate, greed, strife and misery… More below

“We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.” William Gladstone

Haiku: May Peace Prevail... Global Peace Index

Haiku: May Peace Prevail… Global Peace Index

GPI: The scale means: 1 = most peaceful, 5 = least peaceful. ‘Peacefulness’ is understood as ‘absence of violence’

To all our loved ones
May Nature’s peace flow in you
Absence of violence…

In less than two weeks, we will enter a new year… Globally, maintaining peaceful relations will remain imperative. May your homes be filled with peace. May Peace Prevail… Happy Holiday Season to All! What are your thoughts?

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Daily Prompt: Dear Leader. If your government (local or national) accomplishes one thing in 2013, what would you like that to be?

*Please bear with me as I catch up on your blogs and commenting…I’m back on track; albeit at a slow pace. Thank you all for your patience! 🙂

Positive Motivation Tip: When we choose peace, peace embraces us back. May it fill your rafters with joy.

TY Kz! With all the trouble going on in our world today, we need all the peace we can get. 🙂

I’m so down with this, Eliz. Peace in 2013.Let’s do this!

    • 20/12/2012 7:53 pm

Peace with all beings too… I concur. TY! 😉

I will dream of a peaceful world to! AND do things in my life that foster such a place!

  4. 20/12/2012 6:44 am

I also had peace on my mind, Elizabeth. That Gladstone quote is a great one, and so true.

TY! I love the quote too… Glad to read that peace was on your mind too. 🙂

“We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.” This says it all for me.

That’s so wonderfully written ..and I share your dream and wish for peace. The absence of violence ..I like that expression and I truly hope for that vision to become reality in the world.

    • 20/12/2012 11:03 pm

Same here… I feel that it covers a lot of ground and is a great starting point for us. We need affordable health, jobs, tuition reduction, lower taxes for the mid class and mental health provisions among other needs… Violence replaced by compassion would make a difference.

Everyday I wish for peace and a better life for the Afghan people. This is a rough country to live in for the residents. Some of them are soooo nice and there are great Afghans. I guess peace is understated for what they really need. 🙂

Yes, it is so glum in certain parts of the world that the word peace is foreign… Warring factions only know a history of violence… I’d love to see that change. TY!

As William Gladstone, I too look forward to the Power of Love. May that prevail in our thoughts! Elizabeth, have a Happy Holiday season {{{HUGS}}}, Allyson

    • 20/12/2012 11:05 pm

      TY Allyson and I second that opinion. So simple is peace and yet so elusive to many… {{{HUGS}}}

What a wonderful post as we come to a close of another year.
I also enjoyed your posts–Forever Young and Dig Deeper for Gratitude.
    Merry Christmas, Eliz! 😀

TY Tracy! I appreciate the support. I’ve had to send my computers in for work; a new screen, other minor fixes, so I’m borrowing from family members when they go to bed. 😆

      • 21/12/2012 10:42 am

        You make me laugh, Eliz.
I can’t believe you sneak off to use other computers just to get a post written. Now that’s what I call determination. And you sound just like Indy! 🙂

    • 21/12/2012 2:48 pm

Thanks Tracy! Indy and I are one. 😆

    • 20/12/2012 11:08 pm

TY Karen for your peace work too and Amen to your inspiring words. 🙂

  11. 21/12/2012 1:04 am

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, politicians like war.

    • 21/12/2012 2:49 pm

Dreadful… Thankfully, some a lot less than others. We need peace to prevail on this planet. TY Tilly! 🙁

I have awards for you http://shareandconnect.wordpress.com/2012/12/20/blog-of-2012-the-year/ If you choose not to play, I understand. The nomination was a great way to say “Thank you”!

    • 21/12/2012 2:51 pm

TY so much Amy! I hope I get my computers back soon so I can share my awards with all… My notebook is way too small to do effective work… Appreciated. 🙂

I’m sadly behind in reading, Elizabeth, but I love to read the haiku you share! Glad I could go back and find this…what an interesting WP prompt! Unusual! I really do pray that 2013 brings peace of hearts and parched souls. We so desperately need a touch of that grace! I know that you spread that peace wherever you go, Eliz. You are a blessing, my friend.

    • 26/12/2012 5:29 pm

TY Debra! I love your blog and perspective on the world too… I pray there is more peace around the world in 2013 too… Amen to that. I’m behind all the time… Wish I could stay up late to catch up. Oy Vey! 😉
