Haiku: Last Words…

25/11/2012

“We dipped our fingers in the wet cement, and we wrote the truest, simplest things we knew – our names, the date, and these words: We were here.”  Karen Thompson Walker

Haiku: Last Words…

REMEMBER … by elizabeth obih-frank
♥ Remember to always say I love you to your loved ones daily
♥ Remember to always say please and thank you
♥ Remember to follow the promptings of your heart
♥ Remember to honor & love yourself and others
♥ Remember to stop and enjoy the smell of the ocean and of flowers too
♥ Remember to take a chance and go for the big goal
♥ Remember too that to fail is part of the road to finding success

Two names in the sand
Words scrawled… shaking, human hands
We were here, they said…

“Love one another.” George Harrison

Haiku: Last Words…

♥ Remember to enjoy the small things in life; fresh water, a simple meal, a cup of tea
♥ Remember to celebrate the things that matter to you – fearlessly
♥ Remember to listen and learn from others and from life
♥ Remember to smile when you answer the phone … energy travels
♥ Remember to forgive others and above all forgive yourself
♥ Remember to share a meal or a few coins with those in need
♥ Remember to eat your favorite dessert and enjoy each bite

Lovers quarrels known
By angry words, crimson walls
Love one another…

More below! 🙂

“May we be forgiven; it’s a prayer, an incantation. May We Be Forgiven.”  A. M. Homes

Haiku: Last Words…

♥ Remember to keep an open mind and observe events before commenting
♥ Remember to try new things and explore new creative ways of being
♥ Remember to breathe deeply and stretch often – both in body and mind
♥ Remember to celebrate when others succeed as yours will be coming
♥ Remember to Press On even when others say you shouldn’t
♥ Remember to thank your Creator and to always ask for Grace…

When dusk ends our dawn
Rejoice, no need for mourning
We are Forgiven…

Have a productive week!

    • 27/11/2012 7:09 pm

“here and realize”… see above comment about Tuesdays.

      • 04/12/2012 12:22 am

TY and I corrected it… Happens to all of us. I call it the tyranny of typos. 😆

    • 04/12/2012 12:21 am

I hope your day improved… dreaded Tuesday? 🙁

      • 04/12/2012 7:25 am

Starting out with a headache… and after working a few hours headed off to the doctors. Yep, it’s another dreaded Tuesday.

      • 04/12/2012 7:34 am

Sorry to hear that… Perhaps time to change a routine that triggers the Tuesday episode? Hope your day is better! 🙂

      • 04/12/2012 7:47 am

You mean, like actually getting more than 4 hours of sleep on Monday nights? No way that could help. 😛 Despite it all, I’m fairly certain today will be a good day, thanks!

      • 04/12/2012 10:57 am

Here’s to a phenom Tuesday for you! 😛

Beautiful Elizabeth! Did you spend a lot of time in Japan? I finally looked up the word “Haiku” as I was curious. I love your musings and poetry! Great way to start the day! 🙂

    • 04/12/2012 12:26 am

I think I was Japanese in another lifetime. I’ve traveled there but not enough… I would love to visit again. Glad you enjoy the haiku… I do too. TY! 🙂

I remember when you wrote your first haiku. It was careful and tentative. You have grown with it and as with your blog, it gets richer, fluid, inspired. Sending blessings your way for great success and more.

Following your heart and what you think is right should always be a priority. It’s not so much about success and failure but about getting to do and be who you should do and be. Each and every “Remember” found its place and resounded in my thinking. Thanks for putting so beautiful words into a post.
