Haiku: Four Letter Words That Inspire…

30/08/2012

“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put foundations under them.” Henry David Thoreau

Haiku: Four Letter Words That Inspire…

Love, Life, Help, Heal, Hope
Each word, pebbles in the sun
Able Best, Buzz, Buoy, Amen…

I’ve been away attending a two day course. The days either seem too short or they drag, depending on what is before us. I presume the same can be said for Haiku. They can be crystal clear or muddled by our own inner chatter.

“First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.” Epictetus

Haiku: Four Letter Words That Inspire…

Calm, Cool, Core, Done, Duty
Day’s work, cool sips from the stream
Hear, Pray, Rise, Rest, Care…

The week barely started and now it is coming to a close… Have a blessed weekend and I hope you accomplish more. While we pursue our own worldly cares, let’s not forget to share some of our inspiration through helping others in need. The universe expects nothing less from us. More below!

“The power of imagination makes us infinite.” John Muir

Haiku: Four Letter Words That Inspire…

Fame, Fine, Felt, Glad, Grow
Shooting stars, rain falls, fecund
Keep, Keen, Know, Find, Feel…

There are so many words that fit the title, and I was nicely surprised to find many of them.. Seek and ye shall find. Peace and love to all! What are your thoughts? Do you have a list of favorite 4 letter words? Are there times you can’t decide what to do? What do you then do? Can you say it in haiku? Do share! Thank you. 😉

*Please bear with me as I catch up on your blogs and commenting… I’m back on track with reading and responding to your blogs; albeit at a slow pace. Thank you all for your patience! 🙂

Positive Motivation Tip: Take a few words, contemplate them, meditate on them and then watch the magic unfold…

I’ll have to give this some thought. Yes there are times I can not decide what to do I would say this is one of them lately. I have a few things at this point I am patiently waiting. Probably getting busy getting out of myself and helping others probably not a bad idea. Not wanting to get stuck in too much worry. :+)

Same here… It does change and then we move forward. I think waiting has its blessings too. TY! 🙂

After reading this post, all I have to do is close my eyes, imagine and believe that magic will happen. So beautiful and inspiring my friend. This I will reflect on today, “Love, Life, Help, Heal, Hope.” As if my heart has spoken of all the things it wishes to celebrate. Thanks.

I still haven’t exactly understood what “haiku” is all about….and i ‘ve googled it a number of times! Lovely post though! 🙂

    • 01/09/2012 8:46 pm

TY! It is quite simply a way of writing poetry that uses a specific format: 5 syllables in the first line. 7 syllables in the second and 5 in the third. Use of imagery is highly encouraged but rhyming is not necessary. 😉
