Today is like no other day… it is unique, divinely created as the 1st of June… Each day brings opportunities and moments that will never come again. Here today, gone tomorrow. Let’s enjoy it! I love this photo challenge – TODAY – and jumped in feet first… What a delightful task with no limits and full of surprises.

JUST FOR TODAY, I will live through this day only. I will not brood about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow. I will not set far-reaching goals or try to overcome all of my problems at once. I know that I can do something for 24 hours that would overwhelm me if I had to keep it up for a lifetime.
JUST FOR TODAY, I will be happy. I will not dwell on thoughts that depress me. If my mind fills with clouds, I will chase them away and fill it with sunshine. Contd below
Armed with my camera, I went out and shot people, places, things, and my cat… It was delightful to ask others to be part of my today experience and, because I paid attention, I found some wonderful things to share… simple and sweet but all related to the moment, to the present, to today. As I made my way around town to complete tasks and the usual daily chores, I found moments to capture a scene or event that I wanted to share as a memory of today. At home, I pulled out the camera and calling out to our beloved Tangy, asked him nicely to pose. He looked up, made a few funny faces then jumped on top of the container and gave me some poses. “TY!” I muttered, but he was off in search of the next curiosity. The aqueduct always yields new secrets and, depending on the day/time, I see more to share. More below!

JUST FOR TODAY, I will refrain from improving anybody but myself.
JUST FOR TODAY, I will do something positive to improve my health. If I’m a smoker, I’ll quit. If I am overweight, I will eat healthfully – if only just for today. And not only that, I will get off the couch and take a brisk walk, even if it’s only around the block.

Interestingly, the day started nicely with the sun shining brightly; it was out in full tilt. However, as the day progressed, the sun disappeared and the clouds set in. I was concerned the rains would come before I captured enough to share but thankfully, the rains waited… For that and the good that occurred, I am grateful for today. This was a fantastic challenge; it made us all acutely aware of being present and paying attention to those things that draw us in and make us think… Here’s to a brilliant June to all!
