Inspiration: Always We Hope...

Yoga Chillout – BMP Music – Inspiring Lao Tzu-Quote – Famous Wisdom

Always We Hope by Lao Tzu
Always we hope
someone else has the answer,
some other place will be better,
some other time,
it will turn out.

This is it.
No one else has the answer,
no other place will be better,
and it has already turned out.

At the center of your being,
you have the answer:
you know who you are and
you know what you want.

There is no need to run outside
for better seeing,
nor to peer from a window.
Rather abide at the center of your being:
for the more you leave it,
the less you learn.

Search your heart and see
the way to do is to be.
Abide at the center of your being

Always, we hope our exhaustion will dissipate of its own accord… We run ourselves ragged and then we wonder why we are so stressed and tired. Relax. Regroup. Rejuvenate… You will be fine.

“To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring – it was peace.” Milan Kundera

The Peace of Wild Things by Wendell Berry
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For the time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Take that walk up a dusty path, smell the orange flower, sit for a while and watch the world drift by… You will be fine.

“A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare.” William Henry Davies

Inspiration: Always We Hope...

Now is the time by Hafiz
Now is the time to know
That all that you do is sacred.
Now, why not consider
A lasting truce with yourself and God?
Now is the time to understand
That all your ideas of right and wrong
Were just a child’s training wheels
To be laid aside
When you can finally live
with veracity and love.
Now is the time for the world to know
That every thought and action is sacred.
That this is the time
For you to compute the impossibility
That there is anything
But Grace.
Now is the season to know
That everything you do
Is Sacred

Enjoy some quiet… chill for a while. The world will continue to spin on its axis and we won’t fall off… All is well. More below.

“The mark of a successful man is one that has spent an entire day on the bank of a river without feeling guilty about it.” Author Unknown

Inspiration: Always We Hope...

This being human is a guest-house… by Rumi
This being human is a guest-house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
Who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture.
Still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

If we don’t take a moment to let go and let God, to let go and let life, to breath deeply, we are denying ourselves a chance at nourishing our creative spirit. May we all find moments of hope and peace and joy with love sprinkled atop every day. Every day. Every day.

I have tasted of a certain joy, when i sat back and read your lovely message! I was filled with a different understanding, yet it has always been in my heart and life! I take time always to watch the flowers, the bees, watch my puppy and the cloud ships as they slowly move across the sky! Everything that is…is, and better to not worry for what tommorrow brings but roll with the punches that life brings today. We know not even if there will be a tommorrow here for us…so lets rest in the joys and travail of today! Awesome uplifting message!

I too get peace from “wild things”…my wild things is nature at it’s best…seeing the birds…new buds on flowers…sunshine kissing a face…the changes in the weather…even my cat giving me a little kiss each morning…the whisper of the Lord in my ear that I will be fine…Just have faith…Oh, yes…We will always HOPE!

Nature soothes me always and, yes, a prayer and hope go a long way for me. 😉

Always, I hope someone else will take care of things, problems, struggles and that someone has to be me sometimes. I loved the message of each poem and feel heartened to press on. 🙂

I was encouraged too… It is a tough time for many and if we can keep hope alive, we can all benefit. 🙂

My husband always says, “There’s hope in them-there hills!” and I am always saying, “I live on hope!” We are two very optimistic people who sometimes live our lives “hope-filled” in the complete absence of any evidence that we’re rooted in reality! LOL! But it works! Debra

Whenever I tell my mother that my husband and I had a wonderful “do-nothing” weekend, she always looked very puzzled. She always questioned me about wasting an entirely good weekend “getting bored.” I have always argued that doing nothing and being bored are two different things. I can’t help but wonder if it’s a generational thing.

    • 30/04/2012 2:24 am

I agree with you… bored is not creative respite at all… Glad you told her too! 😆

  21. 30/04/2012 1:30 am

    Beautiful as always Eliz.

    Take care of you.

    • 30/04/2012 2:25 am

Love the first poem! ‘Abide at the center of your being’….that is so profound!

    • 19/05/2012 12:40 pm

It is and I loved it for the same reason too. 😉

  23. 03/05/2012 11:42 am

Rumi and Kundera give us words to live by, for sure! Rest time is peace and joy and gratitude time!
