Thanks for posting these songs Elizabeth. I am off to bed now, but I will listen in the morning. Again it seems we are on the same page late at night. I just posted an original video entitled “Water for Meditation (A Contemplative Thought Video Remix). It is a minimalist video piece with ambient soundscapes by Molly Berg and Stephen Vitiello with some real-time wind effects.

Thank you Walter! I’ll check it out in the morning too. I’m fighting yet another headbanger of a cold… The changing temperatures got me. I’m grateful for the music, for brevity, and for life. 🙂

Our Lady Star of the East Arabic song
Umm Kulthum: Today marks the anniversary of her death. February 3, 1975.
I think you will find the meaning of love that all the Egyptians had, and have for her.

Yes, and she was a remarkable singer. Her songs lasted 2-3 hours long each… and she had an amazing vocal range. The song doesn’t give her sufficient justice as it is short. She was a performer ahead of her time. Thank you! 🙂

Thanks for the music! I love listening especially when I’m on the road….seems to light up the landscape passing by. ….Get better! Rest and lots of liquids.

Going to reblog. Music is a gift of the Forces that hang above us.

Reblogged this on Emotfit's Blog and commented:
SHARING MUSIC–One of the sadder things about going deal as been the loss of most music. The beat remains and the songs I’ve memorized live on. The strongest people and families make music part of their lives. Thank you Mirth and Motivation for this.

non of your videos can be watched in Germany because of copyright restrictions – what a pity …

    • 03/02/2012 8:48 pm

Man that sucks! I don’t get that restricted copy business. I tried to watch a video on Youtube recently and it had the same restrictions for the USA. 🙁

Thank you for giving me some new ideas for music to listen to. I know a few of the artists but some of the others I have never heard about. It’s always exciting to learn about new music. Great!

Without music, life would be a mistake. Always one of my favorite quotes! I love the Flaming Lips, too.

Another great post, Elizabeth. I have honored you on my site with the ABC (Awesome Blog Content) Award. I hope that pleases you to know how much I think of you. But I don’t want you to in any way feel obligated to follow-through with the details. I know that sometimes these awards can be a little cumbersome. Do with it as you feel free to do, and just appreciate that I wanted to share you with my friends! Blessings, Debra

I love all of your selections. Musiq is an incredible singer and the Flaming Lips is interesting music from left field. Great suggestions.
