In Pictures: Chris Brown – The F.A.M.E. Tour with Kelly Rowland, T-Pain & TYGA... here he is...

On Friday evening, September 30th, I joined throngs of excited, mostly female, Chris Brown fans to see the mega talented R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor put on a heart thumping, body shaking performance that had us standing in our seats for the entire 3 or so hours of the show. The dancing was fierce, and in addition to the raps and songs we enjoyed from his opening acts, Chris aka CBreezy gave us a fantastic performance of the following:
Set List – Songs Chris Brown Performed included:
Body 2 Body
My Last
No BS
She Ain’t You
Next to You
Yeah 3X
Look At Me Now
With You
No Air
With Tyga Deuces and Snapbacks Back
Beautiful People… If I forgot any, update me. TY! 😉

The F.A.M.E. Tour which included performances from Kelly Rowland, T-Pain and TYGAwas at The Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, NY.  It was powerful, high energy, and a light and sensory extravaganza performance. The stage was divided into three tiers, with steps and ladders, five oversize cylinders at the base with a huge CB in the middle cylinder, a large screen that projected CB music videos and costume changes and laser lights that made you feel you had seen the show of the year…

With four great albums under his belt, Chris Brown (2005), Exclusive (2007), Graffiti (2009), F.A.M.E. (2011) and a fifth due next year, Fortune (2012), Chris Brown aka CBreezy brought his dance steps, strong vocals and impressive stage show and choreography to the Coliseum. His performance was reminiscent of MJ’s; that sparkling, energetic, give it everything you got performance that makes your jaw drop and keeps you applauding long after the talent has left the stage…

Chris and his opening acts, Tyga, T-Pain and Kelly shared their music generously with fans. They interacted with the crowds as if at an intimate dinner party; asking questions, making comments and reaching out to shake hands, toss baseball or knit caps and share their mikes from time to to time…

What impressed me was the warm relationship Chris/CBreezy has with the close knit core of dancers and staffers who worked with him to put a phenomenal performance… They were in sync with Chris and would make moves that fed off what he was doing… Yes, some of us got to attend a sound check earlier in the evening and the camaraderie between Chris and his dancers and staff was warm and close… I got to see a side of this young man that we don’t get to read about in the press. He wore casual grey sweats and a knit cap, chatted with us, worked on his moves for the evening show with his dancers and then gave us a riveting, pretty hilarious Soul Train like dance off, at the end  of rehearsals, that was so fun and funny, you had to be there to get the full picture…

The show ended on a high note with a laser show that included Chris and his dancers dressed in clothes with lights, out of space LED suits and masks that reminded me of those horror movies form the 1970s. It was a terrific performance and CBreezy and his dance crew gave us a phenomenal experience… Worth a ticket. What are your thoughts? When was the last time you attended a concert? What was your experience and did you enjoy it? Who would you like to see perform? Do share? Thank you! 🙂

Right on, I love going to concerts and being at a live event…it’s nothing like the “real music” and the music artist. I love your photo’s too. Thanks for sharing your joy for this week. 🙂

    • 03/10/2011 12:39 am

I love that quote too and yes, something can be said for live shows and the connections the audience make with the artiste and with each other… It is special. TY! 🙂

Wow, what a super charged post. Those photos speaks of how fun and electrifying the night was. Cool people, great music , unforgettable night. I’m happy for you. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a concert. The last one was the “Corrs.” Your probably saying, ” Corrs who?” I don’t think they’re still on scene but they were one of my favorites in the late 90’s. Have a blessed day my friend. This is an awesome post!

Great photos! Thanks so much for sharing them! It was a while since I was to one but my favourite concert/show was with Celine Dion. She is amazing!!! :–)

    • 03/10/2011 7:02 pm

TY! I have heard that Celine gives quite the show too… I haven’t seen her perform, but I can imagine as she is quite dramatic and has an awesome voice. We had an amazing time too. 🙂

  8. 03/10/2011 5:52 am

Get your groove on Elizabeth!! I’m glad you had such a good time. Looks like you had great seats, (or a really big zoom lens).

    • 03/10/2011 7:06 pm

Ha ha BB! How are ya? Wish you were there too. We got our groove on for sure and no, I didn’t have a big zoom lens…. It was a great concert and CB and the others rocked the house. TY! 🙂

  9. 03/10/2011 6:10 am

Whatever one says about his personal life, Chris Brown is still an amazing entertainer. And you, my dear, an amazing photographer! You really captured some great shots! 🙂

    • 03/10/2011 7:08 pm

Amen to that, CB is super talented. TY for the compliment… I’m learning and have a way to go with photography. 🙂

  10. 03/10/2011 6:37 am

Unbelievable photos, Elizabeth! What a great time you had! T-Pain just 26 – I forget how young they are! Or how old I’m getting, lol! But I feel super-young still, so I guess that’s what counts . . .
Thanks for sharing the images from your amazing experience! 🙂

    • 03/10/2011 7:11 pm

I had to chuckle when I read your comment because I was thinking the same thing at the concert; surrounded by teenage girls and diehard fans. CB and Tyga are both 21… these are accomplished kids and I say kudos to them! 😉

  11. 03/10/2011 7:31 am

You could have a 2nd career as a photographer Elizabeth! Amazing shots. Glad you enjoyed the show.

My last concert may have been Dave Matthews Band in Philly.

Since then I’ve tended to watch DVD’s of concerts at home, or smaller less well known acts in person, rather than battling the crowds and paying an arm and a leg for a ticket.

Glad you enjoyed the concert. Great photos!

    • 03/10/2011 7:17 pm

Dave Matthews Band is a great group and I like their sound… I watch DVD’s and see MTV, HBO and other shows too, but, for me, nothing beats the live experience. I hear you on the concerns below… it does depend on the show too. So far, thank God, I haven’t been to a concert with rowdy crowds. TY for your feedback!. 🙂

  13. 03/10/2011 6:38 pm

Chris Brown’s such a fabulous entertainer. Of the current crop of singers, I like him best.
Looks like you had a fabulous time. Great shots!

You had so many pictures of all the performers in there. I’ve never went to a concert before, sadly. I really like hearing Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, and of course Lil’ Wayne. I enjoy all those singers and everything that bring in their songs. About Kelly Rowland, there was a song on a dance station last year, and I know this was Kelly Rowland’s track. Well, Z889 was the only radio station playing it. The song was called “Commander”, which featured David Guetta, but I think it was supposed to be the other way around. That’s a really good song, especially when she goes at the beginning of the song “My DJ is my body God”, then the music starts going with a lot of repetitious dance stuff. She didn’t make an album in 2010, or even 2009. I wonder if the DJ’s were trying to support Kelly Rowland by claiming it was her own song, instead of David Guetta, who produced the beats of the song. This was a dance track, not an R&B song, which isn’t typical of her songs. I had to say that, because that made me wonder for a minute.
