Reflections: Changes & A Blog Hop…

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.” Helen Keller

Reflections: Changes & A Blog Hop... Going with the flow...

We often talk about change and how change is good… Yes, it is up to a point, and then we must make sure to not let the stress and petty annoyances of change get to us… We are going through many changes in my circle of friends and family. Of late, a number of my blog buddies have moved homes; Marcia, Jackie , Chris and Cecilia (in process). We will be contemplating same as the fall comes around and our children settle into life as college students. We have sent one of our twins off to college and are preparing the other for same.

In the interim, I celebrated a birthday and my gift was tickets to Janet Jackson‘s Number Ones: Up Close and Personal World Tour, in Holmdel, NJ. I will be posting about it by Thursday and will include some fabulous photographs I took; up close and personal.

Reflections: Changes & A Blog Hop... Change in Motion... flow or perish

Part of what helps us grow is going along with the flow… Today we experienced heavy thunderstorms in our area that interfered with cables and wireless systems… My blog post had to go up and I forfeited my usual format to get it done… that is moving along with changes and not letting it get us stuck. As we prepare for the next phase of our lives, I know we must stay flexible or perish. I plan to go along with the flow and flexible program and I hope you’ll do same…
What about you? What are your thoughts? What major changes have you experienced lately? How are you handling it? Do share! Thank you. 😉

Positive Motivation Tip: Go with the flow of change and grow…

Change is inevitable. I’m in the process of a move as well. I’ve been in the same place for just over 10 years – a record for me so this move has been unsettling and unavoidable. But I’m shedding the parts of me that no longer fit, hoping to create a newer more authentic me in a new place.
Actually, I’ve thought of writing about it, but I can’t just yet.
    Happy Birthday!

Wishing you peace, love and happiness on your Birthday! Change is a good thing, it gives me hope that tomorrow or may be next year would be better than the past. There’s so much changes in my life for the past year but I could say that the most significant is simplifying my lifestyle and prioritizing my time and affection more with my family. The events around me opened my eyes, that was part of the change too. Thank you, another post to treasure.

Happy Birthday, Eliz! My family made a major move a year ago. Some days it’s difficult to embrace change, but life is so much better when you do.

Happy Birthday to you! It’s been a while, as like you, I’ve been busy with family and other demanding stuff.
I don’t know how you do it with all that you have to do. Be strong and know all does work out with changes.
But, I know you know that anyway! 🙂

Happy birthday!! I’ve always felt that change is a good thing. I have a change coming up the first of next month and I’m very excited about it! An interstate move to a mountain town in Northern Arizona. Just in time for the weather to get chilly!

I have recently had a drop my hours at work, so I have grabbed the change by the horns and am embracing my new online business and most importantly the time I am spending with my wife and son.
Change happens – the key is how you choose to deal with the changeand what you choose to do! 😀
    Great blog. Happy birthday!

    Happy Birthday!

I worked at the Garden States Arts Center during the summers in college ~ saw some fab concerts there! Now, it’s called something else. Maybe PNC Art Center?

    Enjoy the show!

Happy Birthday my friend! May this be a fabulous year for you. You know my philosophy is: the only thing constant in life is change.

    It’s usually for the better.
    Enjoy!

There is a change coming about in my life…and I am slightly fearful of it. Mostly because I need to make a decision and I fear that I will not, and the change will happen regardless. Hence, change is good, if you are dictating its momenteum.

Happy Birthday (Late) is better than never, right?! Hope to see photo’s of the concert. Love ya ♥

    Happy Birthday, belated!

Great idea, the blog hop, but for me – just do not have the time at the moment! To much dealing with change for me, as you know! 😆

I agree, we have to be flexible or we perish. I think I can possible claim to be a sort of poster child for adaptation this year! Fall in love with an asylum seeker (definitely not the “done thing” here), find myself retrenched and have to find a new job the day before “they” incarcerated my now husband, fly to Nigeria to get married, fight my government, win, go from living alone after 15 years or so to living with five other people…………… that’s a LOT of change in 20 months for one person!

And loving every minute of it!!!

happy belated, eliz. (a tad behind on reading/commenting.) yes, i know change is good–I had to change schools so often (as I am guessing you did too?) but I still do not like change–it’s too stressful for me.
