Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… Sky over Bavaria... an early evening shot

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… View from a plane when clouds meet sky

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… Sky meets ocean & beach on a beautiful day...

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… A double rainbow outside a store...

For this week’s Daily Post Photo Challenge on Sky, I am choosing a few pictures and perhaps fewer words… Sometimes we say a lot and at other times we must let the pictures speak to us… It’s been a hectic week and I’m a bit spent. I made some changes… Now the first shot is a view of the sky over Bavaria taken from the Neuschwanstein Castle. The second shot I took from my window seat on a plane (in the air). The sky met the clouds and it all looked beautiful… The next was taken at Normandy Beach. The sky was serene and the ocean calm; it belied the violence that once took place there. The final rainbow shot was taken on a clear day; early evening. I stepped outside the local pharmacy to see a huge rainbow in the sky; then another one formed alongside the first. I took several photos of the rainbows.  I’ll add a few more photos once I catch my breath… What was your sky journey like?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… Sky over Seattle taken from the Needle...

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… Calm skies and water in Burlington at the pier

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… View from my window seat on the ground.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sky… Setting sun with clouds

The first shot is a stunning view from the Space Needle building in Seattle. The sky was clear, the ocean deep blue and it took my breath away. I love this next view of the water and sky in Burlington, Vermont. There were lots of little boats on the water, then I looked to my right and saw the light house in the distance and the water clear of boats; the blue of the sky complimented the blue of the water…The third shot I took after my plane landed and the sky was still filled with gorgeous billowing clouds. I believe we were in Amsterdam. For my final sky submission, the sun was setting even as the clouds battled for center stage…. What are your thoughts? What did you find in the sky? Did you discover new things? Do share? Thank you! 🙂

Positive Motivation Tip: Look beyond your view of the sky and share what you see…

I hope you find some rest soon. Perhaps in that time I will find my words on what I find in the sky, or what it means to me . . .

I can say I love the vast expanses of SoCal blue sky much more than I loved the seemingly incessant gray skies of the Pacific Northwest!

TY! Thankfully, the sky post gave me a bit of a reprieve… all my other posts were pre-scheduled but this is new… The downside is I’m a bit pressed for time to find other gorgeous sky shots in my files… Even ones from SoCal. Oy vey!
It’s been so busy and that is why I am still catching up on commenting on blogs. I did a batch last night and will continue… Meanwhile, I can feel the pull of summer to lolly gag… but I won’t. Please bear with me everyone. I will continue to comment on your blogs and will catch up soon. 🙂

All the photos are beautiful. So much variety. I have one of those cloudy sky from the plane photos. Very nice.
I have a friend who’s a photographer. About 90% of his photos are of the sky.

I do like the opening Eskimo proverb–I like the whole idea of that–it’s comforting. Nice photos, E-liz (my new name for you). Ciao bella! Off to Kentucky.

Great sky shots! Our sky lately has been all smoky. It looks just terrible during the day, but creates the most Amazing sunsets!!
