#Trust30 is an online initiative and 30-day writing challenge. The #Trust30 Prompt:If you could picture your intuition as a person, what would he or she look like? If you sat down together for dinner, what is the first thing he or she would tell you?
Since the beginning of June, I have joined several other bloggers on a month long writing challenge. Our prompts have come from the writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson and we’ve had the option to answer the prompts in our blogs online or offline in our journals. The questions prompt us to reflect on our efforts to develop self-reliance and live our lives fearlessly … or at least, with some introspection. I decided to tackle three prompts today as my answers tie in with each of the three prompts; albeit in brief. Now to work…
My intuition would look like the being in the picture above, sunny and imposing. A knowing being in light. For our first dinner, my intuition will probably tell me to listen to that still, small voice that never leads me astray. My guiding angel will remind me of the power of prayer, reflection, and meditation… All will lead me to the answers and guidance I need and I must trust it implicitly. It never lies to me…

#Trust30 is an online initiative and 30-day writing challenge. The #Trust30 Prompt: Who is one person that you’ve been dying to connect with, but just haven’t had the courage to reach out to? First, reflect on why you want to get in touch with them. Then, reach out and set up a meeting.
Honestly, I thought about this question and no living person came to mind. I have always been comfortable approaching people to ask for help or advice so I don’t have a person in mind. However, I thought about it and decided that if I could have someone meet me in the comfort of my home or a beautiful park, I would reach for God’s grace in the form of an angelic being. I would reach for an angel to guide me and others safely through our choices, and then be there to remind us to be courageous. Periodically, they will check in to help us stay the course and avoid the usual pernicious distractions. The path to God includes contemplative prayer, meditation, song, and self-effort (and other ways people commune). I will be reaching out to connect on that level… What about you? 🙂

#Trust30 is an online initiative and 30-day writing challenge. The #Trust30 Prompt: How can you bring MORE enthusiasm into your work? What do you have to think or believe about your work to be totally excited about it? Answer it now.
This is a great question because we can’t achieve much if we don’t bring passion and enthusiasm to the table. I can bring more enthusiasm to my work by listening my heart’s calling; by remembering what excites me and makes me jump out of bed in the morning. When we connect to that place, we are unstoppable. When I believe in my project/work/cause, I get excited. I’ve found that when I am doing work that fulfills me, work that challenges me, I am alert and focused and give my best. We all deserve to do work that empowers and excites us. What about you? What are your thoughts? What factors aid your intuition? Do you find yourself lacking courage when you most need it? I really admire your great introspection Eliz. I wish I could do the same. You always know how to inspire me. What got to me the most was “bringing passion and enthusiasm on the table”. For quite sometime now, I’ve noticed that I’m just doing the regular rounds and daily monotonous grind of everyday work life without being uppity about it. I’m quite embarrassed, actually, of what’s happening. Thankfully, with a new colleague at work, there’s a sense of direction on the path that I’m going. I just need a boost on my enthusiasm though.

To embrace each day, each work, each relationship , each hardships and trials with faith and unquestionable trust and enthusiasm then it’s like heaven on earth for me and those around me.Another beautiful masterpiece Liz. I echo the Island Traveler. As I read your words about wishing to converse with an angelic being the first though I had was that you have an angel sitting at your keyboard each day. The Bible tells us “We entertain angels unawares.” You may not be aware of an angelic presence, but they are certainly aware of you!

I trusted my intuition with my belief in my husband. I certainly needed courage (and a legal whiz) to take on my country’s government! LOVE triggered (and continues to trigger) my enthusiasm! Enough from me, I think! 😀
Concise and powerful responses to the prompt, Elizabeth! Clearly, you trust your intuition. To me, that means the accumulation of your growth and knowledge have combined to make you a very wise person. But, of course, I did not need your response above to know that! You show that here every single day!
God’s grace in the form of an angel to guide you? You already have the courage for that. It is deep within you. Do you realize how much courage you provide here to all of us each day? You are an amazing inspiration to each of us. Without the angels guiding you – how could you guide each of us? I truly believe they are there for you and for each of us.
As far as inspiration from excitement in one’s work? I completely understand that. And guess what? You provide excitement for my work by inspiring me in many way to write the words I need to obtain justice in my work in helping those who have lost so much. I have a mom right now who lost her beautiful 20 year old daughter 3 years ago under wrong and horrific circumstances. That girl’s father died suddenly 10 years ago. I am in the process of trying to get justice for this woman for the loss of her daughter. You are helping me write the words I need to do that. So there is a whole world through me that you are helping even if you do not know it from where you are.

Recently I reconnected with a family member that I hadn’t had contact with for about 15 years. It took a lot of courage for me to reach out but I’m so glad I did! We are rebuilding a relationship now and it would never have happened if I hadn’t held out my hand first!

The 30-day challenge re: writings of Emerson sounds fascinating. Intuition, courage and enthusiasm together creates a pretty powerful motivation for vibrant living. Will think more on these things.
