Courage Does Not Always Roar…

02/01/2011

“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’” Mary Ann Radmacher

Courage gets us out of bed... daily

Courage: The quiet calm after the storm..

Often when we think of courage, we imagine strong, powerful people doing incredibly courageous things; David against Goliath, Firemen, Policemen, Soldiers, Capt Sully, civil rights activists, children and adults battling terminal disease… all true. Yet, courage also comes in our decision to live after we’ve come close to stepping off the precipice. Courage is new Brazilian President, Dilma Rousseff, the Scheveningen swimmers, and you…

Courage comes in the quiet determination of a single parent struggling to keep the home intact and children fed. It comes in our willingness to step outside our comfort zone, even after an emergency level snowstorm, and press on. Courage is the tiny ant in our kitchen sink, carrying crumbs and slowly making its way home… Courage helps us up after we’ve taken a fall. Courage gets us out of bed. Courage helps us recognize that no matter what, we don’t need to lose our head as grace will carry us ahead. 🙂
What does courage mean to you?
Positive Motivation Tip: Practice acts of courage in small things and then expand your vision from there…

Courage is trusting that my efforts will bear fruit.
And that for another day I will have a decent quality of life.

For me courage is getting out of bed, getting in my car, going to a job that I am highly unqualified to perform yet by the grace of God, great things happen everyday. I am thankful that God equips those He calls. I don’t usually think about having courage. Thanks for helping me to look at my life with a new perspective.
Courage gives me Hope or does Hope give me Courage? Either way both are necessary to get through this life. I will choose one and the other will follow.
