Welcome 2011: We have 365 Days to Make a Difference…

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.” Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Happy New Year: May your year be bright, rich and colorful...

HAPPY NEW YEAR’S DAY!!! What a gift to be alive in 2011… 🙂 Resolutions, celebrations, invocations and more, won’t change the fact that we are blessed to be here, and must make the best of this new year. I’m not quite sure which is easier; endings or beginnings? Either way, we are no longer on the cusp of a New Year and I can’t help but reminisce about the year that ended and applaud the new one before us.

The year 2010 was full of promises and harsh surprises. The economy continued to take a dive and we all learned to figure out ways to manage. The meaning of family and friends gained a new resonance and our homes mattered. The President delivered on a number of promises. Political seats were lost and won. The weather dipped and sprung with extremes in temperatures… we all made new friends, on and offline, and for some, new enemies… life moseyed on. 2011 will be better. If there is anything I wish for our world in 2011, it will have to be for Peace and Love. May everyone find something to smile about this year. 🙂 Happy New Year!

For 2011, I send 12 gifts/blessings/wishes to each of you:

Some Food for Thought: What do you wish for the New Year? How to you plan to make this year your best year ever? What impact will you plan to make on your life and on others in your community?

Thank you for your blessings and wisdom Elizabeth. I pray 2011 is the opposite of 2010 in so many ways. However, it all begins within… it all begins with one step. Let’s make it a great year!
All the best to you and yours.

Yes, it always begins with us and within. 🙂 Blessings always,

Me too… The power of prayer brings blessings and change and I’d love to see more people recognize they can benefit from it. 🙂

This year is definitely the year to make a difference to others. If the last two years taught us anything as a people, we are accountable to our communities, our families, our neighbors, our selves.
