Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

In confined spaces, everything  becomes pronounced, re-framed in a constrained, yet focused way.  For this photo project, I decided to let the photos speak to you before I add my interpretations of what they represent. What do you see inside each shot? Where are they located?

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” Carl Jung

What do these shots tell you? Do you recognize their location? When you think of inside shots what ideal image comes to mind? Tell me about your photo vision of inside?  Come back later for my story.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

What interesting shots of interior spaces have you taken lately? What drew you in?

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside. Showing things relative to other things allows you to emphasize a particular subject (a ship in a bottle), show juxtaposition (a clown drinking in a bar) or abstract themes (oil in a puddle). The “inside” idea can be as wide-open as your imagination wants to make it. From the simple to the absurd, it works on almost any level. This week, in a post created specifically for this challenge, share a photo that says INSIDE.

What comes to mind when you think this subject – Inside?  Do let me know in a comment below.Thank you EVERYONE!

For more, check out how others interpreted the theme – WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: INSIDE

Positive Motivation Tip: In confined spaces, everything  becomes pronounced, constrained, tight. Sometimes, what we believe belongs outside, opens our eyes when we see it on the inside…

One of your photos – the one of the subway train – reminded me of this one time I took the NYC subway at rush hour and I was literally packed in like a sardine. It was the most uncomfortable experience of my life. It didn’t help that it was July and almost 100 degrees on there either.

    Great “inside” photos…

I love Jung; great Jungian quote to use. It inspires me to go after unrelinquished dreams.

Those pictures make you want to stop and look around at your surroundings. So much goes by without even a glance.

I haven’t done many interesting shots lately, but we’ve all been sick a lot. I love the penguin is watching!

I love that one in the tunnel. For some reason it reminds me of this tunnel in Seattle.

This was really cool. I really like the train picture. It reminds me of riding the subway everyday. Such a great project!

I think of elevators as being inside. I also think of places without natural light as inside.

  19. 15/03/2014 5:25 am

I am working to improve my photography skills so this was an interesting post to look at.

  20. 15/03/2014 7:11 am

I really like the shots taken from within the tunnel. The ones that show tail lights of the cars ahead. That to me, is what my own perspective is. Trailing behind but still in the game. Great pics, all of them 🙂

The subway train is my belly laugh for the day. If I got on that train and saw that I’d be laughing so hard I’d miss my stop! Oh what a joy !

  22. 15/03/2014 9:20 am

Was one of them driving in an underground tunnel? That’s what I thought of anyway, and then I thought of my kids because they think those tunnels are so fun to go through. An adventure in themselves. 🙂

Interesting inside photos. I love the quotes you posted as well.

I love all the photos! I especially love the train photo. I don’t have a train system really where I live but its actually fun for me when I go to cities that do have them.

Great post! I love obscure photos like this. I like the one in the subway. I have taken the subway every visit to NYC. I feel like its a real way to see the city.

  26. 15/03/2014 2:42 pm

Wow…those are great photos!! I love the ones of the inside of the tunnels.

  36. 16/03/2014 11:44 am

Amazing art work and photos. I would love to see that in person.

  37. 16/03/2014 7:04 pm

  39. 16/03/2014 9:40 pm

I really enjoyed all your inside photos. There is something therapeutic about taking pictures, or at least it seems that way. I take an average of 50 a day

  40. 16/03/2014 9:53 pm

Speaking of inside, I was just thinking this weekend about how I wish I had a better working space inside my home. If I made it really focused on my online blogging and work, it would probably allow me to get more things done.
