Reflections: Nature Does Not Hurry…

06/03/2014

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” Lao Tzu

Starting Over: Nature Does Not Hurry...

Reflections: Nature Does Not Hurry… – “Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson

We spend time worrying…
Rushing here and there in pain
Wondering … what if?

Wondering … what if
The sky would fall if we stop
The sun and moon too…

“Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life.” Rachel Carson

Starting Over: Nature Does Not Hurry...

Reflections: Nature Does Not Hurry – “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.” John Muir

Sky, sun, moon won’t fall
‘Cos nature does not hurry
Pause and breathe… slowly

We prance round like deer
Heading straight to those headlights
Thinking… what happened?

More Below

“I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright.”  Henry David Thoreau

Starting Over: Nature Does Not Hurry...

Reflections: Nature Does Not Hurry – “Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” Kahlil Gibran

Thinking… what happened?
Like nature, Change! Start over
Goals and dreams, shifted

Frazzled lives, wasted
In nature, there is no hurry
Pause and breathe … slow down

Stay Inspired, have a blessed day and thank you for stopping by!

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Writing Challenge: Starting Over.   In this week’s writing challenge, we’re asking you to write a short piece of creative writing (fiction/poetry/prose poetry/freeform mindjazz/whatever floats your boat) on the theme of Starting Over.

Positive Motivation Tip: In nature, slowing down and starting over is a given; it comes with each seasonal change and ecosystem shift. Learn from her gift of patience…

Love your motivation tip. I feel like seasons help us in that change, to start over if we’re feeling “lost”.

I like the fact that spring is coming. It’s almost like a new beginning. You know, spring cleaning & making my house all fresh and clean. That is where is all stems.

Love this. Nature brings you closer to things and helps you think I don’t know what it is about a nice crisp cool day among the trees that has you thinking all sorts of things.

Inspiring words to draw us into the renewal season of Spring.

Lovely poem and pictures. It’s nice to slow down every once in awhile and just enjoy your surroundings, and your family. I know we need to do more of this!

I love the season changes of nature – I live in VA where we get to “start over” every season. By the end of every season, I’m always ready for the next! 🙂

Such a beautiful poem and pictures! I sometimes forget that there’s an entire beautiful and peaceful world out there.

That was a lovely reminder to stop and smell the roses. We spend so much time rushing around for work, it’s really easy to forget what we’re working for.

Thanks for the reminder to slow down and just enjoy what life brings us. It is very easy to get wrapped up into what ifs but I do try to be patient and slow down.

We’re studying simplicity in church and I think a big part of that is slowing down. Great reminder.

  34. 07/03/2014 10:08 am

Nicee!!! Nature does not hurry. Like we do. We’re all hurried and crazy, and hectic all the time. We should totally take nature’s lead and just slow down! As I sit here, frantic because I have 2 blog posts to publish today and it’s already after 1pm, and lunch hasn’t even been made, and laundry is piled up. Thank you for this awesome post. It reminds me that I can just slow down. The laundry will still be there when I get to it. Lunch doesn’t have to be anything spectacular and my blog posts are not a matter of life and death. Thank you.

Patience is certainly a discipline. I’ve been practicing it a lot lately. The photos you used are perfect.

Patience is definitely not a strong point of mine. It’s something I am working on though – especially because I know that things will get done eventually, even if they aren’t finished right when I want them to be.

What a lovely post .I have a lot of people look at me like I am crazy for not worrying much at all. I just believe in loving each day as it comes and leading a life to know that everything will work out as it is suppose to.

I like the comparison of people to nature. You’re right, nature accomplishes amazing things but is never in a hurry. It’s a great visual to keep in mind!
