Haiku: It Was The First Time….

08/01/2013

“As you become more clear about who you really are, you’ll be better able to decide what is best for you – the first time around.” Oprah Winfrey

Haiku: It Was The First Time....

Haiku: It Was The First Time….

It was the first time…
Left my peaceful apartment
Red dressed devil glared

“A person is always startled when he hears himself called old for the first time.” Oliver Wendell Holmes

Haiku: It Was The First Time....

Haiku: It Was The First Time….

She heard it coming…
cool breeze, whoosh wings, Patchouli
We’ve met… A.D.1?

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” Maya Angelou

Haiku: It Was The First Time....

Haiku: It Was The First Time….

Peace incantations
The whole day, revelations
No! I don’t know You…

For this exercise on creating a post from the first sentence in a favorite book, I chose: “It was the first time I had left my peaceful apartment the whole day…” from Conversations With Angels: So be It by Dror. B. Ashuah. It’s a powerful and reflective book that delves deep into the spiritual path with a firm grounding of the premise that all of us are “spiritual beings having a human experience.”

Have an inspired week!
Have you ever encountered an angel? An unusual exchange with another person? what early memories of unusual encounters do you remember? Do share! Thank you. πŸ™‚

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Daily Prompt: Call Me Ishmael. Take the first sentence from your favorite book and make it the first sentence of your post.

Positive Motivation Tip: If angels walk among us, how do you recognize them? Be observant.

I think I’d like to read the book you took the sentence from! πŸ™‚ I don’t think I’ve had a particular encounter with an angel, but I can feel them sometimes!

When you have a moment, do get the book and read it… Very powerful stuff and beautifully written… None of that archaic lingo or jargon… Simply beautiful. TY! πŸ™‚

It’s all good Amy! I have no idea why it happens and conspiracy stories no longer amuse me so I won’t use that line. TY for your persistence. TY! πŸ™‚

Thank you for the book recommendation. I watched the movie “Michael” the other day, that was a good tale. I pray to the archangels at times, they never let me down.

Same here… I always say that God has never failed me… even if what I expected came out differently… TY! πŸ™‚
