˜”*°•.˜”*°•.˜”*°•.★★.•°*”˜.•°*”˜.•°*”˜” Have a blessed weekend!
This is a tough one to pull off, especially after a full year of all sorts of photographic highs and lows… The collection I’m sharing on this post is a taste of 2012; a sliver of the many events I captured on camera. It’s been an incredibly challenging yet empowering year for many of us and I’m glad a new year waits in the wings. My wish for 2013 is that we all follow our hearts dreams with enthusiasm, and develop the resilience to overcome all barriers when they arise. What are your wishes for next year?
“My calendar runs out every year. It doesn’t mean the world is going to end, it just means I need to buy a new calendar.” Hannah Bowns
Post Hurricane Sandy, the Hudson River was slowly receding back to normal, but the shot above was of the very high water level; you could lean over and touch it. A goal I kept was to stay healthy – physically and mentally. I hiked, took lots of classes including Tae Kwon Do and ate more organic foods. I plan to stay focused on health, peaceful living and growth in 2013. What about your goals? More Below!
“The only source of knowledge is experience.” Albert Einstein
Here’s a taste of another shot from this year. Keith Haring was one of my favorite NY based artists. I followed his career from the earliest days of his subway VandArt to his mainstream glory years and death. He was a remarkable man. The Brooklyn Museum had a retrospective of his work this year and I attended and took tons of photos. I plan to write a post and share them in the coming year.
Thank you All for the wonderful support you’ve given me this year. I would not have stayed the course without your loving feedback and encouragement. May the coming year be fruitful and productive for all of us. What are your plans for 2013? Were you drawn to certain types of photos for the prompt? Do share! Thank you.
*Please bear with me as I continue to catch up on reading and commenting on your blogs. Thank you all for your patience!
