Haiku: Stillness…

17/11/2012

“It is the stillness that will save and transform the world.” Eckhart Tolle

Haiku: Stillness…

“Blessed are the single-hearted, for they shall enjoy much peace. If you refuse to be hurried and pressed, if you stay your soul on God, nothing can keep you from that clearness of spirit which is life and peace. In that stillness you will know what His will is.” Amy Carmichael

Stillness calls my name…
As NaNoWriMo beckons
Write on other days…

“Through return to simple living Comes control of desires. In control of desires Stillness is attained. In stillness the world is restored.” Lao Tzu

Haiku: Stillness…

“For those who wish to climb the mountain of spiritual awareness, the path is selfless work. For those who have attained the summit of union with the Lord, the path is stillness and peace.” Bhagavad Gita

Stillness calms my nerves…
No need to challenge nature
Stress with fear left town…

My goal is to focus on stillness while writing this haiku with no three letter words. More below!

“One’s action ought to come out of an achieved stillness: not to be mere rushing on.” D.H. Lawrence

Haiku: Stillness…

“Your innermost sense of self, of who you are, is inseparable from stillness. This is the I Am that is deeper than name and form.” Eckhart Tolle

Stillness cancels plans…
To NaBloPoMo‘s write fest.
Breathe, ride soothing waves…

Have a playful, restful week ahead!
What are your thoughts? What do you hear when you truly listen to stillness? Do you still write or struggle with it? Do share! Thank you. 🙂

*Please bear with me as I catch up on your blogs and commenting… Thank you all for your patience! 🙂

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Daily Prompt: Three Letter Words. Write an entire post without using any three-letter words.
Positive Motivation Tip: Stillness comes when we pause from endless activity to breathe… Stay alert!

    Stillness Haiku – sort of

    Did you say stillness?
    There’s none surrounding Cupcake
    Maybe it’s inside….

    • 23/11/2012 6:13 pm

Stillness. Good time of year to consider that. At least take a break. :-). Pretty pix.

    • 23/11/2012 6:17 pm

Yes indeed… it can get hairy at this time of the year… Less stress, less illness! TY! 😉

I recently started Deepak Chopra’s 21-day meditation challenge. It has really opened my eyes (or rather closed them). I am finding stillness very intense, when I do reach it for a minute or two! It’s hard to achieve…

    • 23/11/2012 6:19 pm

I’m on that challenge too… My only disappointment with it is that the mp3s won’t play for me so I have no idea what is said each day and have had a hard time figuring out the daily topics. Otherwise, it’s a great idea. TY! 🙂

    • 23/11/2012 6:30 pm

TY so much and I was surprised how easily the words fell into place… I’m a big fan of “The” and it was fine to skip it. 😉

this post is a verification of all that I have worked for the past year. Practicing breathing, cultivating a practice of mindfulness, appreciating the stillness and experiencing peace!

Stillness can make me crazy sometimes. Maybe I should learn to meditate.

    • 23/11/2012 6:47 pm

It won’t hurt Miriam… You can start with relaxing music and then progress from there… You can do it! 😉
