Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong…

Luther Ingram – If lovin you is wrong I don’t wanna be right…

This week’s challenge was a bit of a challenge for me… Wrong? Who’s to judge? Hmmm. Anyhow, the song above kept playing in my head, so I had to share two versions with you…. Wrong acts are hardly captured by the average novice photog. Paparazzi and those who aim to capture celebs doing naughty things get a hands up. So, sorting through my files to find what fit the challenge, even vaguely close to Sara’s smoking landscape, was a bit difficult. Yet, that is what makes the weekly challenge fun. We put on our creative caps, take what we have, make it work, and voila! Fait accompli.

“When you are right you cannot be too radical; when you are wrong, you cannot be too conservative.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong… A driving boot on the highway? What’s next!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong… How did the fawn end up with eight legs? Kali Durga inspired? Nyet!

For me this week, I looked for shots that showed something I viewed as wrong and, not necessarily negative, just not the norm. Perhaps, William Shakespeare’s quote, “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” says it well for me. I don’t feel the need to judge right from wrong… We all have our karma to create. Take my submissions as a tongue-in-cheek approach to the challenge.

“Perhaps it is better to be irresponsible and right, than to be responsible and wrong.” Winston Churchill

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong… What’s odd about this picture? Take a closer look at that fountain!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong… What’s with the hair? Is this really Jesse Ventura? An imposter? Hmmm

I’m always impressed by my fellow WordPress bloggers who complete the challenge because each person brings a new perspective, and a keen eye to the challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing what others have done. I hope you enjoy my selections. I look forward to visiting and applauding yours… Come back later for the answers to questions on the photos. Gottta dash.  Thank you! More below…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong… Would you do this on stage as a dare? For posterity? Hmmm

MILLIE JACKSON ( If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want To Be Right.wmv

Answers to photo questions: ♥I took the backward street sign shot by focusing my camera very closely to my rear view mirror in my car. ♥Yes, it was at the LMFAO concert and he was mooning the fans for fun. ♥The boot was an Ad on Wheels for LL Bean boots and I took it on the highway to Boston, MA. ♥An 8 legged fawn?  Well, actually there were two fawns in the photo but the other baby’s head was hidden. ♥The fountain is painted onto the wall… so, no real water spraying. ♥The improv show I saw with my kids was hysterical and that man in the bad skull cap was imitating Jesse Ventura. ♥The other shot shows a man from the audience don a wig, take off his shirt, and kneel down to role play being a dog. Now you know!

As I wrote this post, an old song came to mind,( If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want To Be Right. Enjoy Millie’s version… Have an awesome weekend! I’ll see you later. ;-) Thank you for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this! What are your thoughts? What photos did you share on WRONG to fit the challenge? Was it easy/hard to find photos that supported your perspective on the subject? Were you drawn to certain types of photos for the prompt? Do share? Thank you! :-) ;-)

*Please bear with me as I continue to catch up on your blogs and commenting… Thank you all for your patience! :-)

My fellow bloggers were equally creative with their selections. I listed several via Zemanta & WP Daily Post below. (I will update it and add more). We all appreciate trackbacks/ping-backs and Likes from fellow bloggers too! Check out how others interpreted the theme – WRONG – also below. ***

This post was inspired by a prompt from WP Daily Post: Weekly Photo Challenge: Wrong… Wrong. As in, there’s something wrong here. The smoke over the beautiful San Francisco skyline definitely stands out as wrong on this otherwise beautiful afternoon. Minutes later we discovered it was due to the Chevron refinery explosion (earlier this week). Maybe the “wrong” in your picture is obvious, or maybe it’s quite subtle and takes a deeper look to notice – help your readers to understand what’s “wrong” in your picture. Share a picture that means WRONG to you!

Positive Motivation Tip: WRONG can be right and vise versa. It all depends on perspective… Pick your position and stand by it!

  1. Good Morning! :+) I will look in my files for “Wrong :+)” I have an idea of a couple of signs. I’ll see if I can find them. Can you give me your link to your flowers I want to see the mauve one with the dragon fly again. When I was at the dentist the other day I kept thinking of beautiful things to distract me that one photo kept poping up in my head as one of my favorite beautiful things. 18. Fabulous examples of many wrongs! Did you photograph that street sign in a mirror by any chance? :)

    • TY for asking Madeleine! Yes. I took it by focusing my camera very closely to my rear view mirror in my car. I liked what I saw afterwards. Other times when I tried it, the images would be blurry but this time it worked. :-)

  19. I think you did really well here, even if you wrote that it was quite a challenge for you. You did absolutely bring a new perspective to the weekly theme. And as always you find some really good quotes. A great post.
